They dropped the gloves at center ice. As soon as Mayrand grabbed Varhaug, he connected with a solid right hand. Mayrand had his head down from then on and that's when Varhaug connected with some heavy rights of his own. Mayrand was letting his punches fly and most of them connected, even if he wasn't looking where he was throwing them. It was back and forth battle, where both of them connected with some solid shots before they fell down. Solid job by Mayrand against the giant Varhaug in this one. Varhaug had an awesome year in 03-04, and only a few players hold their own againt Varhaug. Mayrand was one of them.

Outcome: N/A Fun

They pushed and shoved to the right of the Granby goaltender. They quickly took their helmets off with Lanthier connecting with two rights and Richard with a rock solid uppercut. Then, Lanthier landed two lefts than a right before pushing his rival into the boards. We missed a few seconds of the fight with people in the stands standing in front of the camera. It looked like they were throwing punches at each other during at least ten seconds where I couldn't see nothing. They skated back near the Granby netminder where Richard puts an end to the fight taking down Lanthier after missing with a right uppercut. It was an entertaining scrap but I can't give an edge to either one of them because I missed too much of it. But it's worth at least a 6 for excitement.

They dropped the gloves at center ice and took their helmets off. Tice grabbed Hewitt by the sleeve and just missed with his typical overhand right haymaker. Then, Hewitt missed with a few punches and his poor balance dragged Tice down on the ice. Hewitt tried a few weak right uppercuts but the linesmen were already there.

Dean Mayrand narrow win Fun
4
Hewitt challenged Mayrand for a scrap and he accepted it, squarring of in the St-Jean territory. Mayrand grabbed Hewitt and tried a large amount of power right hands that mostly missed. Hewitt just held on for deer life, staying close to Mayrand. Mayrand landed a few punches behind his head. Again, Hewitt's just can't skate so he was wobbling on his skates all along. Mayrand just missed with a strong right haymaker and Hewitt simply fell down, bringing The Machine with him.

Cory Holland win by TKO Fun
6
They bumped into each other into the boards in the Granby territory. Richard got Holland to drop the gloves. Richard was pummeling Holland behind the head early on, landing a flurry of lefts behind his head. They skated towards center ice and thet's when Holland asked Richard to take his helmet off and he obliges. They traded a few punches and Holland simply got rid off his jersey, almost completely. Holland had his dangerous left arm completely free and he landed a few solid shots. Richard tried to stay inside but he mad a mistake and he paid the price. Holland landed a beautiful left hand and Richard never saw it coming. Boom! And down he goes! Richard cleraly wasn't hurt by that punch but he was clearly dropped by it. TKO win for Cory Holland.

Murphy hit Sbrocca into the boards and then challenged the talented forward for a scrap. Sbrocca, surprisingly, accepted the tough defenseman invitation. They took their helmets off and went at it at center ice. As soon as they made contact, they wasted no time with Murphy opening things off with a flurry of lefts. Sbrocca was answering with rights and he clearly connected twice with severe punches. It was a quick toe-to-toe exchange as Sbrocca just missed with a right haymaker and he fell on top of Murphy. This is quite a surprise, as Sbrocca really held his own well against a tough opponent.

Dan Tice win by KO Fun
9
Wow! What a one-punch knockout!

Geiring became another victim of Dan Tice's vicious right hand. Tice, a well known fighter in Quebec for many years, had been a one dimensional fighter all his career. Once you stay away from this dangerous right hand, most of the times, you will held your own. But that was not the case for Geiring there. He stayed too close of Tice when they made contact and he got hurt, bad. Tice connected with a massive right hand straight to the jaw that flatly dropped him on his back. Geiring badly hit his head on the ice when he went down. Tice celebrated his victory, but then calmed down when he saw that Geiring was really hurt. Geiring stayed on the ice for long minutes, with a little blood pouring from his back of the head, on the ice. Geiring missed more than a month of action because of that severe knockout and concussion.

I'm quite surprised that no one had reviewed this scrap before, because it was a rare one-punch KO in a spectacular way. We can count at least 10 victims of Dan Tice throughout the years. And on that night, Jonathan Geiring became one of them.

Dan Tice had a reputation as being a real hard puncher and this fight would cement that legacy, Jonathan Geiring squares off with Tice and they feel each other out for a few seconds, Tice is just ready to uncork that right hand on his opponent. Geiring goes to grab onto Tice and gets tagged by a punch that sends him down and out, he laid on his back for awhile as the video ends . Tice picks up the big KO win in one punch style.
