Dan Carcillo clear win Fun

Carcillo grazes Johnson with a check in the LA zone and faces him, seeking a fight. Johnson gives it the go ahead and drops with him. Carcillo lands a solid right under the visor and Johnson is on the defensive early as Carcillo fires some more rights, 2 landing to the shoulder area. Johnson retaliates with a right that appears to narrowly miss but the view is obscured by standing fans. He takes a roundhouse right to the head and tries to connects with a pair of lefts but misses badly as Carcillo continues to throws hard punches to the side of Johnson's head. Johnson reaches out with his left and grabs the side of Carcillo's neck to keep him still. He lands a heavy right to the jaw but Carcillo just keeps pumping the rights, landing a couple more as they move toward the sideboards. Carcillo's chinstrap is riding up so he discards his own helmet and throws 2 more rights. Johnson is just hanging on at this point and leaning his head on Carcillo's left shoulder when the officials move in. Clear win for Carcillo. I had Johnson landing 1 of 4 punches but he did land one good shot. Carcillo was the more active pugilist, connecting on 8 of 11 with his first punch being the best blow.

Daniel Carcillo meets up with Jack Johnson and they decide to have a go. Carcillo throws four rights, landing two as Johnson gets his tight and keeps his head turned. Carcillo pauses and then misses a right. Johnson opens up, giving them some separation, and misses two lefts. Carcillo connects on a right and then lands again on a right while Johnson lands a left. Johnson changes hands and connects on a right as Carcillo lands a right. Johnson changes hands as Carcillo lands a right and connects with another right as Johnson lands a left. Johnson gets back in tight and turns his head. Carcillo takes off his helmet and throws two rights, connecting one one. The officials then step in and put a halt to the fight. Alright fight, both had their moments but Carcillo clearly more than Johnson.

Pretty good middleweight scrap. Johnson did decent in his first showing, but Carcillo clearly had the upper hand because of his experience. Carcillo landed at least three big rights in the scrap (not really doing much damage though, they were to the helmet), and after that, Johnson was mostly just trying not to get hit again.

Johnson is battling Doan for the puck and Carcillo comes in a little late with a hit. They look at each other and Carcillo gives Johnson a little shove in the chest. Johnson throws his gloves down in a hurry as does Carcillo. Johnson looks to take one right on the chin to start and they each throw a few, but nothing looking to land squarely. Johnson has his left free and is trying to blindly swing at Carcillo, but is missing. Carcillo gets a couple of good shots in on Johnson, who is just turning his head and trying to hold on. Johnson continues to try and throw, but Carcillo tags him pretty good and Johnson is just holding on until the refs come in.

Carcillo goes after Johnson, Johnson skates away and Carcillo grabs on so they drop. Carcillo controls it pretty well tying johnson up and getting a few punches in. The experience showed, carcillo looks a lot like Avery, talks shit, backs it up very rarely and fights not fighters. As much as i love Sean you can't make it in the league like that usually.

Carcillo is nothing like that lil bitch Avery... Look at Carcillo's AHL fight card the last two years he fought good middle weight fighters... He does alot of talking but will back it upReply

Apr 8, 2007 18:25 ET
Yea that's why he turned down both Scott Thornton and Tom Kostopolous before fighting a non fighter in Johnson. Get you facts straight I don't care about the AHL this is the show, if you wanna fight and pretend you are a scrapper then fight a scrapperReply

Turning down a couple of fights isnt the same as an Avery who turns down a couple fights each game... Im not saying Carcillo is the toughest guy out there but he will fight and has fought some pretty tough guys... I agree that Carcillo plays a similar game as Avery but will back up his actions more than Avery does...Reply

Ok ill def give it to u in saying Carcillo can throw with his class, but avery would destroy him hands down. Also both Thornton and Kostopolous (guys that barely outweigh him and are fighters) asked danny to go and he declined and fought a non fighter in johnson. That is a chicken shit move much like ur boy doan's late in the game. A guy that wud never fight straight up against a Thornton or even Kostopolous but elects to go with a non fighter is a pussyReply
re

Carcillo would kill Kostopoulos beat Sean Avery and him and Thornton would be a good fight. By any chance do you watch the AHL or watch fights from it? Well if you do you've proabably heard of a heavyweight named Adam Keefe? The fighting major leader. Well him and Carcillo squared off and Carcillo put him down with a solid right. If you argue that Keefe wouldn't beat Avery of Kostouplos's ass I will simply laugh it off. Because that will show how much you know about hockey fighting.Reply
re
Apr 12, 2007 17:05 ET
Ok FBL... I don't give a shit if he turned them down. Ask anyone on this site who has any smarts towards fighting which is obvisouly not you as even most of the reviewers on this site would agree I know more then you do. Kostopoulos is a weak shit who Carcillo would take care of. Thornton and Carcillo would be a good fight. Adam Keefe vs Sean Avery would be an ass kicking dished out by Keefe so it really doesn't matter whether its NHL or AHL.Like what did that statement mean this is the NHL not AHL. So since Avery,Kostopoulos and Thornton or in the NHL they would reck Lessard, Fritz and Brown because there in the AHL.Reply

Raitis Ivanans clear win Fun

There's a faceoff in the Phoenix zone with Gratton and Ivanans lined up next to each other. The puck drop and the glove drop nearly coincide and Ivanans quickly grabs Gratton and starts to throw. He lands the first right before Gratton is able to defend but the next 4 miss and he switches to the left, landing one sharp jab that jolts Gratton's head back. Gratton gets backed up but throws a glancing roundhouse right. Ivanans is not discouraged and continues throwing. He tosses 3 rights, the last one a heavy shot to the ear before getting his left hand into the face of Gratton and pushing him off balance to his knees. Gratton gets up and tosses an errant right and then lands a left jab. Ivanans tries a right but Gratton ducks away. Ivanans takes his right arm and hooks Gratton's left away, shaking Josh's equilibrium. Ivanans misses a right as Gratton is falling face down to the ice (this was not a knockdown, just a loss of balance). Surprisingly, the linesmen let Gratton get up and continue. Gratton lands a right and some grappling ensues. Ivanans reaches over and pulls off Gratton's hat. Gratton lands a weak left to the helmet and then takes 2 rights from Ivanans off the melon. Ivanans misses a right and Gratton throws 2 errant lefts before the zebras decide to step in. Clear win for Ivanans. Gratton's only chance, when outsized this badly, is to get into a toe-to-toe battle. Ivanans wisely used his strength to manhandle Gratton and land the better punches.

Off a draw Raitis Ivanans and Josh Gratton go for the second time on the year. They get a grip with the left and Ivanans throws six rights, landing two. Ivanans then lands two lefts, one connecting heavily. Gratton misses a right before Ivanans throws two rights and connects on one. Gratton misses a right and Ivanans connects with a hard right. Ivanans then forces Gratton to his knees but Gratton bounces back up. Ivanans moves in closer to Gratton who misses a right. Ivanans throws three rights while getting inside of Gratton, landing two. Gratton falls down but gets up with Ivanans moving in close. Gratton misses a right and then Ivanans throws two rights and connects with one. Ivanans removes Gratton's helmet and Gratton switches hands. Gratton connects on a left but Ivanans throws three rights and lands two after. Gratton throws two lefts and connects with one and the linesmen step in between them and break it up. Win Ivanans for connecting on more and with better punches. Gratton stood in there but took the worst of it for sure. An alright battle between two tough enforcers.

Ivanans and Gratton had a pretty good battle. The men went off the draw. Raitis landed a decent blow and missed a punch. He landed an average shot and a decent connect. He missed a blow and landed a solid shot. Josh landed an average blow and missed a punch. He landed a partial connect and an average right.

Ivanans missed a blow and landed two average rights. Gratton slipped, landed a decent punch, and missed a blow. Raitis missed two punches and landed a partial connect. Gratton slipped again and got back up quickly. He missed a couple of shots. Ivanans landed two average shots and missed a punch. The refs stopped the fight.

I rate this as a clear win for Ivanans. He landed a few more blows. His punches landed with better pop, consistently with average to solid impact. Gratton had trouble with his balance and fell down a couple of times in the bout.

Ivanans took a run at Ballard and injured him. Next faceoff, they drop em. Ivanans landed much better punches and landed one that TKOed Gratton. But Gratton got up and kept throwing. Ivanans landed a few more, then the linesmen got in.

Faceoff in the Coyotes zone and Gratton and Ivanans are lined up right next to each other. The puck drops and they shed their gear. Ivanans throws about 4, with 2 looking to connect pretty well. Ivanans gets a couple nice short lefts in on Gratton. Ivanans is clearly throwing more and landing more than Gratton, but Gratton won't give up. They fall down and the refs try to move in, but they get right back up and continue where they left off. Ivanans gets another solid shot in before they tire out and the refs move in.

Round two between Josh Gratton and Raitis Ivanans. They drop the mitts right off the faceoff and go at it. After the short square off they grab on, and Ivanans starts throwing and lands about three rights. He connects with some jersey jabs, and Gratton answers with a good punch somewhere to the nose area. Ivanans connects with some more rights and puts Gratton to the ice. The linesman tries to jump in, but he doesn't manage to do it, because Gratton gets up very quickly. He connects with a right. Ivanans misses with one, but uses his strength to put Gratton down for a second time, who takes one right to the nose on his way to the ice. Again Gratton gets up very quickly and lands one blow. Ivanans responses with a right and takes off Gratton's bucket. They get themselves in tight. Ivanans lands some more rights, and the linesmen break it up.

Good fight. There was no toe-to-toe this time, 'cause Gratton has been very defensive. Pretty smart move by Gratton, but that doesn't save him from the clear loss.

Gratton takes on Ivanans, because earlier Ivanans destroyed bitch ass keith ballard. How many people has ballard hurt this year with a low hit? at least 3. Payback. So gratton drops with Ivanans and gets destroyed just like the last time they fought. Kudos to Gratts but he is not in the same league

Shane Doan checks Jamie Heward into Mathieu Garon, knocking the goalie's mask off. Jack Johnson doesn't like and goes after Doan. Johnson doesn't drop them while Doan does and proceeds to throw a handful punches at Johnson, landing a few. Heward comes in and grabs Doan while Steven Reinprecht also comes in and grabs Heward. The linesmen enter in on Johnson and Doan. Doan tries to continue the fight but eventually the linesmen are able to pry them apart. Other players around do nothing else and Curtis Joseph who came all the way down from his crease just had some words with Garon. Fun

Garon freezes a puck just to the left of his net when Doan skates in hard and runs Heward over the top of the goalie. Johnson skates around the fallen Kings and confronts Doan behind the net. Doan drops the gloves first and starts tossing rights to Johnson's head and body and yanks his helmet off. Heward is back on his feet and fights off Reinprecht's hold to throw an arm around Doan's neck. Doan lands 2 more on Johnson and the linesmen try to subdue him but he reaches around the zebras and tosses one last parting shot before he can be restrained. Clear win for Doan. He was the only one throwing.

There's less than a minute in the final period when Shane Doan comes in and shoulders Jamie Heward into Matheiu Garon. Garon and Heward are uninjured but Jack Johnson goes after Doan. Johnson doesn't drop his gloves while Doan does. Doan grabs Johnson's jersey and throws two landing rights, one getting Johnson good. Doan then pries off Johnson's helmet and visor. Heward comes in and grabs Doan as he throws two rights and lands one while Johnson ducks. Doan misses a right while the linesmen try to get in between Doan and Johnson. Heward continues holding Doan who then misses with one last right while losing his helmet. The linsemen split up Johnson and Doan. Win Doan since Johnson never dropped his gloves or threw a punch and the linesman came in to protect Johnson.

Garon pops out to freeze the puck, Doan was driving hard to the net and decides to slam into Heward, who is standing nearby. Heward crashes into Garon and lays him out. Johnson comes right over to shove at Doan, and Doan just drops his gloves and starts pounding him with right hands, Johnson doesn't get his gloves off until he's taken several punches. That's why you don't start a fight with a push, kids. Before he can do anything to defend himself, Heward headlocks Doan from behind and a mass of bodies get involved as Doan tries to add a few more in there. Cujo skates down as Garon was milling around but they just stand there.

With play and their season winding down for both teams, the puck slides in on Garon. He goes to cover it with Heward standing in front of him, Doan skates by and knocks Heward right up and over Garon, prompting everyone to get together. Everyone jumps in knowing the instigator does not matter in the last game of the season. Johnson is one of the first after Doan, as he throws him up against the glass. Doan quickly gets the gloves off and starts throwing away on the rookie. At first Johnson threw a few shots back but figured out he was in over his head and decided to just hold on. Doan landed basically all the punches but it was good to see Johnson coming to his goalies aid. Doan lost a lot of respect in my book.

Doan´s shot went wide and the puck bounced infront of the net and Garon freezes the puck. Then Doan comes in and pushes Heward on top of his own goalie Garon. Jack Johnson didn´t like it and he went after Doan who was behind the net. Doan started to throw punches at Johnson and landed few great shots. Heward comes in and grabs Doan from behind. Then Doan´s linemate Steven Reinprecht came in and he started to pull Heward off from Shane Doan.

Coyotes goalie Curtis Joseph came also all the way down the ice because he felt that his team was outnumbered there because Garon was also involved in the mini-brawl...

i actually like Doan, yeah he had a slow year and hadnt fought, but I he's usually a good entertaining player who isnt afraid to mix it up...but I havent really even payed attention to him this season.

true true, he's a solid player, sometimes he does a few cheap things that go unnoticed. Oh well that's hockey i guess.Reply
