Matthew Barnaby win by TKO Fun
6
Not long into a game between bitter rivals, the New York Islanders and New York Rangers, Rangers agitator Barnaby drops the gloves with Islanders' enforcer Jim Cummins right on a faceoff following a Dick Tarnstrom goal. They circle each other during the squaeoff and both guys grab on with the left. Barnaby ducks his head at first and Cummins tries to take advantage, landing three rights. Barnaby then starts to reply throwing four rights and connecting on three, one flattening Cummins who threw two rights and landed one. Barnaby lands a right as he goes down too and the referees scramble to get in between them. Fairly good, short, toe-to-toe fight with Barnaby getting the TKO win over Cummins.

Rare TKO victory for Barnaby. Cummins throws some rights, Barnaby comes back with some of his own and catches Jim with one on the chin that buckles his knees and drops him.

Short fight. They exchanged rights, it looked like Cummins had the upper hand, but Barnaby landed one to the jaw and down went Cummins.

They square off and start going toe to toe. Cummins looks to be getting the better when suddenly he drops after a straight right to the chin.

Eric Cairns narrow win Fun
5
Steve McKenna and Eric Cairns engage each other in the corner as play goes up ice. The two huge heavyweights drop the gloves and get a grip of each others' jerseys. McKenna leans away from the smaller Cairns who lands three straight over the top rights, all glancing and grazing across the side of McKenna's head. Cairns gets slightly bent over and McKenna tries to take advantage, throwing an overhand right but it goes wide. Cairns uprights himself and switches hands, missing an overhand left as McKenna struggles to keep his balance and get bent over. Cairns waits a moment, then throws two more overhand lefts, landing one though he's thrown off balance by them. Both hit the ice on their knees but bounce back up, McKenna, then Cairns who switches hands on the way. The linesmen start to move in to break it up but Cairns and McKenna land over the top rights simultaneously, McKenna directly to the face and Cairns to the side of the head. The linesmen back away a little bit and McKenna lands a right to the side of the head. Cairns lowers his head slightly and then McKenna moves in closer to get in tight with Cairns. Cairns pushes McKenna against the boards and then ducks to stand back. Cairns' helmet is pulled off by McKenna and then Cairns misses two overhand rights, landing one as McKenna leans away. McKenna then misses a right high over Cairns' head and drops down to the ice, pulling Cairns down too as he misses a right on the way. Alright tilt between these two tough guys. It was an energetic tussle with both having their moments and swinging away. Not too many punches landed but a few of them landed nicely. Cairns landed more and had more control of the fight than McKenna so Cairns gets the narrow win.

Cairns lands a couple of rights, then a few lefts. They go down, but get back up. They trade a couple of rights, Cairns throws couple more and then McKenna falls down like he always does. Win Cairns.

The fight starts out very weird looking as there's a stick stuck sideways between these two big boys and Cairns lands a couple of rights then switches to the left and now the stick drops and our combatants follow tumbling to their knees but they get back up and Cairns lands another right and McKenna grazes with a right, Cairns ducks and pushes him against the glass continuing with a pair of big rights that don't quite land and as they fall again McKenna throws and possibly lands his second right of the fight, which he clearly lost to the more aggressive Cairns.

I don't particularly agree with the call but I don't think it's clearly wrong but maybe no.7 disagrees.Reply

At the end of the game (that the Rangers won) Fleury is skating off the ice giving the fans the "fuck you" gesture with his arms. I don't really know what the specific name for this gesture but you've all seen it before, just not on the ice. Mad classless move from Fleury, even after your team won. And some of you people think Avery is bad? I can't beleive they didn't even make a big deal about this in the media (I don't remember anything being said). Fun
