Draw Fun
2
Chartraw and Jones got into a skirmish. The situation turned into a mini-brawl situation. Rick gave Jimmy a face wash. The two squared off and Chartraw rag-dolled Jones to the ice. Jimmy got up again and Rick hauled him to the ice a second time. I rate this as a draw. No actual punches were thrown here. Chartraw won the wrestling match in the old "two out of three falls" format. Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race would have been suitably impressed.

Rick Chartraw clear win Fun
2
This little battle took place at the same time that Mario Tremblay and Pat Boutette were jawing at one another. All of this action was after the whistle. I have not seen the game action that led to all of this antagonism, but the announcers do mention in the clip I have that Tremblay and Boutette "started all of this". While those two players are trying to get at one another, the camera cuts to little Jimmy Jones and big Rick Chartraw. For god only knows what reason, Jones gives Chartraw a little shove and the gloves come off. Chartraw more or less manhandles the smaller player, giving him a good shake and then effortlessly throwing him down to the ice. They threw no punches and the altercation was broken up without incident. By the rules of the site, this qualifies as a bout, but given the tenor of the times, I would be surprised if they were given more than double minors for roughing for this. Certainly not an exciting fight, but a Chartraw battle is always a nice, rare treat to see as he was a tough boy.

Mario Tremblay narrow win Fun
5
Tremblay and Boutette shoved each other along the boards and the officials escorted the men away. Mario was yapping at Pat looking clearly upset. Rick Chartraw won a wrestling match against Jimmy Jones. Tremblay and Boutette swapped punches in the aftermath of that skirmish.

Mario landed a solid blow and an average punch. He landed a decent shot. Pat missed a blow and landed a light punch. He landed a decent right. Tremblay landed a decent punch and missed a blow. He landed two light shots. Boutette hauled Mario to the ice. Pat missed a punch, landed a decent blow, and landed an average shot. The refs stopped the fight.

I rate this as a narrow win for Tremblay. He landed a little more and a little better. Boutette landed a couple of punches at the end, but I think he came up a little short of evening the score.

Tremblay starts the fight well and is doing all the punching. Boutette is holding on tightly and throws an ocassional punch, but Tremblay is the aggressor and Boutette eventually goes for the takedown.
