Chris Simon win by TKO Fun
Quick fight and the end result is great. Simon lands several hard lefts to Brashear who is trying to hug him with little success. Brashear absorbs several piston like lefts from Simon until one connects right on the button and Brashear quickly hits the ice.

TKO Brashear was dropped by a punch. Good example of how Brashear does in a fight where he can't hug.

Chris Simon win by TKO Fun
Chris Simon and Donald Brashear drop the gloves and grab a hold of each other as play is going on around them. They grapple about for a second or two and Simon gets free from his jersey.

Simon is then able to get his left arm loose and he throws seven left hands at Brashear. The first couple are blocked by Brashear but Simon then lands two good lefts, and then a big left upper cut and another left hook that drops Brashear to the ice. Simon throws one more left hand as they are falling to the ice. The lino's quickly jump in on the two fighters to stop any more punches being thrown, and they both get up and make their way to the penalty boxes to serve their penalties.

This is a TKO win to Simon as he drops Brashear to the ice with some good left hands.

TKO win Simon.

Chris Simon win by TKO Fun
Donald Brashear vs. Chris Simon / Jan 24, 1993

Brashear and Simon drop the gloves in the Citadels' zone and quickly tie up. Simon manages to get his left free and starts throwing immediately. Simon opens up throwing four lefts at Brashear, with none looking to land clean. Brashear was trying to grab Simon's jersey and in doing so was inadvertently blocking Simon's punches. Simon looked like he might of grazed the top of Brashear's helmet a couple shots but wasn't able to land anything solid.

Brashear managed to grab Simon's jersey, but Simon continued to throw with his left. Simon landed a hard left uppercut that looked to stiffen Brashear up. Simon was then able to follow up with a hard overhand left that dropped Brashear. Brashear fell to the ice and Simon was still throwing punches as he came down on top of Brashear. Brashear was held prone on the ice by one of the officials until Simon skated away.

Brashear got to his feet and skated to the box, and he was yapping at Simon when he got into the box. Simon gave Brashear a quick beat down here, he opened up with lefts and dropped Brashear before he could even throw a punch. Simon gets the TKO for the left that dropped Brashear.

TKO win Simon.

Chris Simon win by TKO Fun
In the first minute of this AHL game, the puck is sent into the Citadels' zone by the Canadiens. The two teams' respective heavyweights, Chris Simon of Halifax and Donald Brashear of Fredericton, skate together as the teams chase after the puck. They talk and quickly go after each other, shedding the gloves and lunging.

Simon goes on the offensive immediately, not giving Brashear time to apply a grip or establish a hug. Simon gets the big left hand windmilling. He throws four or so lefts, but doesn't land solidly. Brashear has his right arm flailing as he tries to grab a hold of Chris. While he fails to get a grip on Simon's sweater, he does manage to deflect the punches.

Brashear finally gets a hand on Simon's sweater, but all that does is give Simon a clear target. As Simon's sweater comes partially off, a left haymaker catches Brashear in the face, stiffening him up a bit. Simon's follow-up to that punch is a bomb that connects flush on Brashear's temple. Brashear's knees turn to jelly and down he goes.

Simon is dragged down by the toppling Brashear. Chris hits the Donald with a couple more quick punches as they go to the ice. The linesmen pull Simon away. Brashear is face down on the ice, with a linesman holding him down and Simon's shed jersey over his head. Brashear manages to get up after a few seconds. He has some words for Simon as he makes his way to the penalty box.

Simon whipped Brashear here, making quick work of him and soundly dropping him. It's a convincing TKO win for Simon over Brashear.

Haha this was a great fight especially if you don't like Brashear. They drop the gloves and Simon gets his left hand pumping right away and Brashear isn't responding. Simon hammers Brashear with non stop lefts, knocks Brashear's helmet off and then lands another bomb that floors Brashear. Totally one sided fight, clear TKO win for Simon.

Chris Simon win by TKO Fun
Simon was more polished at this point in the men's careers. Brashear was trying to grab at Simon's arm, but he could not stop the left handed onslaught. Chris landed an average shot and missed three punches. He landed a pretty good shot and a good one that dropped Donald to the ice. He landed a partial connect and an average blow before the ref was able to pull him away.

This was a TKO win for Simon. Rarely was Brashear dominated like that. Chris was proving that he was ready for the big time.

Chris Simon win by TKO Fun
They drop the gloves and start grabbing hold, Simon starts fireing rights landing several of them knocking Brashear's helmet off and then landing one that buckles Brashear's knees and Brashear falls back. One if not the worst loss of Brashear's career.
