Basil McRae clear win Fun
5
Basil McRae checks Lou Franceschetti in the corner and then they drop the gloves. McRae lunges in tight on Franceschetti as they grab onto each other. Franceschetti lands a right as they wrestle and McRae slowly is able to get some separation from Franceschetti. Once that's done, McRae throws four rights and lands two and Franceschetti throws two rights and lands one. Franceschetti reaches around McRae's head to get back in tight and pulls his helmet off in trying to get his head down. McRae forces his head up as Franceschetti misses a right, then McRae throws three rights, landing two that gets some separation back between them. Franceschetti puts his head down and tries to get back in tight as he can't get his arm loose from McRae who then switches to the left. McRae throws five lefts and lands one while Franceschetti switches to the left and gets his head up. Franceschetti misses two lefts but then has his head pulled down by McRae. McRae tries to jersey Franceschetti but can't quite do it and instead gets some separation from Franceschetti and throws five more lefts, landing two. The linesmen wade in on the fight but Franceschetti suddenly gets his head up, causing his helmet and jersey to come off, and misses a right as McRae gets in tight. McRae switches back to the right to miss one last right as the linesmen get between them and force the fight to end. Decent tilt with McRae definitely the winner.

Basil McRae decisive win Fun
6
McRae hits Franceschetti in the corner and shortly after they drop the gloves and start going at it. They wrestle for a while before McRae gets his right loose and throws four with two or three of them landing. Franceschetti answers and throws a couple rights of his own that come up short. The two start to wrestle again and McRae loses his helmet, Franceschetti tries an uppercut but it doesn't even come close. McRae throws a few rights and lands one. McRae then switches to the left, throws five and lands about two or three. Franceschetti tries to come back and throws two lefts of his own but both come up short again. The two wrestle and McRae has Franceschetti bent over. McRae starts feeding Franceschetti with lefts again, landing three or four more. Franchechetti has his head down and the linesmen at that point decide to jump in to the rescue. As they get in McRae hits Franceschetti with one more for good measure. Decisive win for McRae as he hammered Franceschetti here and in the end the linesmen had to jump in to stop the beating.

This was a good lengthy contest. Kordic missed two punches and landed a light left. McRae missed two blows and landed a partial connect. He missed two punches. Rambo landed a decent shot and missed several blows. He landed a decent shot and missed a punch. He landed an average blow and missed a shot. He landed two decent punches.

Basil landed an average left and an average right. John missed a blow and landed two decent punches. McRae missed a few shots and landed two decent punches. He landed a partial connect and an average shot. He landed a decent blow and missed a punch. He landed two decent lefts. Kordic missed a punch and landed a decent shot. Basil missed two punches and landed a decent shot.

Rambo landed an average shot and missed a blow. The men clinched and they took a breather for several seconds. McRae landed a couple of average blows and missed a shot. John missed a punch and landed a couple of partial connects. Basil landed a partial connect. The refs stopped the contest.

I rate this as a draw. Both men landed a number of moderately effective blows. McRae did a nice job of impeding Kordic's punches. Rambo wasn't able to land the big shots he was famous for. It was a good technical performance by McRae. He gave John all he could handle in this contest.

A whistle stops play but John Kordic skates right to Basil McRae and neither wastes any time dropping the gloves. They come together and McRae gets in tight as Kordic throws three lefts, landing one before trying to get McRae's helmet off. Kordic lands two more lefts, tries to get the helmet off again, then throws three lefts and connects on two. McRae then misses a left and then misses a left while Kordic lands a left as well. Kordic then connects with a left while McRae lands a left and then McRae misses a left as Kordic likewise misses a left. McRae lowers his head while missing a left as Kordic misses a left and then Kordic lands a left before McRae lifts his head while missing a left and gets bent over. Kordic takes advantage, throwing a series of nine lefts in a row and landing six while McRae just uprights himself, stays in tight, and lowers his head. They wrestle for a couple moments and then McRae lifts his head, landing a left that knocks Kordic's helmet off. Kordic then misses a left and McRae throws two rights, landing one as Kordic stands back. McRae throws two lefts and lands one and then connects with a left as Kordic also connects with a left, then Kordic misses a left as McRae misses a left. McRae lands a left as Kordic misses a left and then McRae throws four lefts, landing two before connecting on a left while Kordic misses a left. McRae misses two lefts and then they pause. McRae lands a right but then misses a right as Kordic misses a left and they reset afterwards. Kordic lowers his head and misses a left, then gets in tight as McRae misses a right. They wrestle and McRae tries to get his left loose but can't and instead lands four rights before Kordic stands back. McRae lowers his head which causes his helmet to fall off as Kordic throws four lefts, landing one. Kordic then lowers his head while McRae lifts his head and misses a left. Kordic gets back in tight and McRae shouts at the linesmen to stay out as they resume wrestling. The linesmen ignore McRae and get right between them, halting the fight there. A long fight with lots of punches thrown and landed by each man. No big bombs were really thrown or connected here but this fight was full of action and both had their moments. It was all Kordic in the early stages and he was way more active than McRae but once Kordic tired a little bit, McRae came back. McRae got going and was definitely more active late but Kordic stayed in the fight the whole way. I call it a draw.

Kordic throws lefts, McRae throws with both hands. Kordic landed more early, but McRae came back strong enough to make it a draw.

Very good fight, great back and forth action as Kordic gets off to a fast start landing several lefts to build a big lead, While Kordic continues to land some McRae comes on from there switching hands a few times and landing blows with both hands to even it up by fights end, a hard earned draw to both men.

Correct fight on this date. I believe I had linked to another bout in the same season earlier.

Todd Gill clear win Fun
5
Shawn Chambers and Todd Gill come together after a whistle among a crowd of players and decide to drop the gloves. They grab hold with the left and Gill misses two rights before pausing. Gill then throws five more rights but only lands one as Chambers waits idly. Then Chambers counters, throwing four rights and landing two before Gill misses two rights. Gill switches hands and throws three lefts, landing two that get Chambers ducking. Gill switches hands again, landing four rights while Chambers tries to get in close. Gill tries to keep Chambers back and get his helmet off but Chambers skates Gill into the boards and they bounce off them. Gill remains standing as Chambers goes down and tries to get his helmet off again as they wrestle. Chambers just pushes Gill against the boards and the linesmen move in to break it up. Two defensive defensemen going here but it was the more experienced fighter, Gill who clearly had the upper hand. Chambers was mostly idle in this one and wound up bleeding under the eye after the fight with Gill.

Gill early with rights. Chambers comes back a bit and lands a couple rights of his own, but Gill switches to the left and takes over again. Gill clearly landed more and better. Chambers was cut under his left eye and from his lip. Win Gill.

Curt Fraser clear win Fun
5
Fraser and McIntyre swapped punches with vigor. Curt missed a couple of right hands. He landed a decent right. John landed a solid right and missed a punch. Fraser landed a solid connect, a decent blow, a solid punch, and a decent shot. McIntyre missed with three right hands. Curt missed a punch and landed a decent connect.

I rate this as a clear win for Fraser. He landed some effective punches and some decent connects. He had a big edge in punches landed. Enough of the blows had solid impact to demonstrate a clear superiority.

Curt Fraser clear win Fun
5
John McIntyre falls down trying to use a spin move on Mark Tinordi. Tinordi knocks McIntyre off the puck but it goes right back towards them and McIntyre gets tangled up with Curt Fraser. They get the hands up on each other, leading to both dropping the gloves. Fraser gets McIntyre's helmet off as he ducks his head and then Fraser throws four rights, landing one. McIntyre raises his head and misses two rights while Fraser misses two rights, neither missing by much. McIntyre locks up in tight on Fraser afterwards and gets his helmet off while Fraser wrestles McIntyre into the boards. Fraser throws three rights and lands two while McIntyre ducks his head and then misses a right. Fraser throws two more rights and lands one again while standing back. McIntyre misses a right again and then raises his head after Fraser misses a right. McIntyre misses a right and ducks his head again as Fraser misses a right. Fraser just holds McIntyre there and Luke Richardson reaches in to grab Fraser, drawing a crowd. A bunch of players start getting in on the fight as the linesmen too move in and break it up. Win to Fraser for landing more and better than the rookie McIntyre.
