Jeremy Roenick is backpedalling with the puck in the corner and then takes an elbow to the head from Brian Benning. Benning came in at high speed and then filled in Roenick with a cheap hit with the elbow to the head. Roenick went down but was okay. Fun

Jay Miller clear win Fun
4
Wayne Van Dorp rides Jay Miller into the corner boards during a puck battle and with Miller taking exception to it, a fight happens between the two. They start off wrestling in close with Van Dorp trying to keep Miller's head down while Miller throws four lefts, landing one. Van Dorp misses a right and then Miller switches hands while getting his head up and gaining some separation from Van Dorp. Miller throws three rights and lands two before pausing again. Miller then misses a right and they then throw three rights at the same time. All of Van Dorp's miss but Miller, after missing two, lands the last one while Van Dorp puts his head down trying to get back in close. Miller fails at trying to get Van Dorp's helmet off but throws seven more rights and lands four once Van Dorp is in close. Van Dorp just keeps Miller up against the boards as they wrestle and Miller lands two soft rights before being wrestled down by Van Dorp to end the fight. Pretty dull scrap in my book. Van Dorp failed to land a punch and was definitely the more conservative of the two. Miller threw considerably more and while he didn't land any punches well, he landed more than couple and so gets the win.

Jay Miller clear win Fun

Miller had a pretty easy time with Van Dorp. He tied up Wayne's right arm for much of the fight. Jay missed a couple of left hands. Van Dorp missed a right. Miller landed two average blows and a decent right.

Wayne landed an average right and missed a punch. Jay missed a blow, landed a solid connect, and landed an average blow. Miller landed a solid uppercut. Van Dorp clinched and draped himself on Jay's shoulders. Miller missed a few rights. Wayne wrestled him to the ice.

I rate this as a clear win for Miller. Jay had a significant edge in punches landed. He landed a couple of solid shots down the stretch and put enough hurt on Van Dorp to gain the clear edge.

Very difficult to say if punches landed or not because of the camera angle and their in-close fighting. Seems like Miller had 2 close-in pops to the face and Van Dorp had 1. Miller then lands on top of Van Dorp. Hence, only a narrow win for Miller.

Miller landed more punches, Van Dorp was more interested in wrestling and he took Miller down in the end. Narrow or clear win Miller.

It starts with some wrestling then Miller works free and lands several rights, Van Dorp has a tough time getting any offense going and only lands a blow or two, the fight ends with more wrestling, clear win Miller.

Wayne Van Dorp narrow win Fun
4
Bob Kudelski and Wayne Van Dorp take a faceoff against each other after getting into it at a previous draw. The sticks come up so Van Dorp wants to fight and steps back, dropping the gloves Kudelski steps forward and drops the gloves to take on Van Dorp but a linesman reaches in on them. As they grab on, Kudelski ducks his head with the linesman reaching over him to try and break up the fight. Van Dorp throws five rights but only lands one before Kudelski gets his head up and then misses a left as Van Dorp misses a right. Kudelski's left actually ends up striking the linesman in the face, so he gets out of the fight immediately. Van Dorp then misses three rights as Kudelski ducks again before landing a left. Van Dorp lands a right and then wrestles Kudelski down where Van Dorp knocks Kudelski's helmet off with a landing right before the linesmen get in. Pretty poor scrap and an edge to Van Dorp for landing more punches.

Van Dorp gains an early advantage getting Kudelski bent over and feeding him an uppercut. At this point, linesman Swede Knox tries to get in between them but the other linesman hasn't arrived on the scene yet and Van Dorp is still throwing so Knox gets out of there. Kudelski tries to come back and throws a couple of not too effective lefts and Van Dorp takes him to the ice. While face down on the ice, Kudelski gets treated to one more Van Dorp right.

The game was getting chippy. Jay Miller went over and was yapping at the Black Hawks bench. Kudelski and Van Dorp went at it. Wayne landed an average blow and missed a few punches. An official got in the way early in the contest.

Kudelski landed an average left and missed a punch. Van Dorp landed an average blow. missed a punch, and landed a pretty good shot while the men were on the ice. The refs stopped the bout.

I rate this as a clear win for Van Dorp. He landed a couple more blows and the last one put some hurt on Kudelski.

Quick scrap with Van Dorp landing a few and Kudelski landing one of his own. Narrow or clear win Van Dorp, I pick a narrow win.

Van Dorp gets the rights going and controls much of the bout despite some interference from one linesman, Kudelski only lands one weak blow, clear win Van Dorp.

Manson checked Tonelli along the boards. John apparently didn't like the fact that the blow was a little high for his liking and that Dave followed through with the forearm. Tonelli gave Manson a moderately hard shove to the face. Manson responded with a gloved right that landed with solid impact. John went sprawling to the ice. Keith Crowder stepped right in and challenged Manson. Dave pounded Crowder and handed him his lunch. Fun

John Tonelli takes a check from Dave Manson with Manson bringing the arms up high. Tonelli takes issue and shoves back at Manson who then comes back with a gloved right that knocks Tonelli down and knocks his helmet off. Manson stares at Tonelli as he slowly gets up but is kept back by a linesman. Keith Crowder however, comes in to defend his veteran teammate and drops the gloves with Manson. Fun

Dave Manson decisive win Fun

Crowder paid a price for coming to the aid of his teammate John Tonelli. Manson roughed up John along the boards and gave him a gloved shot that sent him sprawling to the ice. Crowder went after Dave and was looking to go.

Somehow, Keith wasn't quite ready for combat when he arrived on the scene. Manson started to hammer him with right hands. He landed a solid blow and Keith began to slip right away. Dave landed four consecutive rights with pretty good pop.

Crowder was on the ice and taking abuse. The refs stepped in with the intent to rescue him. Manson switched to throwing lefts and nailed Keith with a few more effective punches. Eventually, the beatdown was stopped.

Manson mercilessly pounded Crowder in this contest. It was a most decisive victory. Dave had him helpless on the ice and battered him.

Keith Crowder goes after Dave Manson since he roughed up John Tonelli. Crowder skates in fast on Manson and Manson is ready to go, getting the gloves off even before Crowder arrives. When he does, he just grabs Manson but Manson backs up while grabbing Crowder. Crowder goes to a knee and though he recovers fast, Manson takes control of the fight. Manson has his right loose and throws five rights, landing two but knocking Crowder over before he can even try to get set. Everyone gathers in around them and the linesmen try to sort through the crowd to get to the fight. Manson manages to work himself loose again and throws one right that misses before throwing two lefts that land. A linesman then gets a hold on Manson to restrain him. Win Manson.

Crowder was assaulted by a frenzy of right hands from Manson. After Manson was put into the penalty box he started slamming his stick against the glass to express his anger at the officials, and to complain that Crowder had gotten away with a cheap shot before the fight at some point during that shift. Manson kept pounding on the glass and cussing at the officials so they finally grew tired of him and gave him a Game Misconduct.
