Kris King clear win Fun
8
Kypreos had a lot of guts, but he was not one of the better fighters in the NHL. King pounded him with numerous power shots in this one. Nick landed a solid left hook at the start. King landed three solid rights, missed a punch, landed a solid connect, and landed a couple of average blows.

Kypreos missed a left hand. Kris landed a solid shot and a couple of average punches. He missed a few blows. Nick landed a decent uppercut. King missed a shot, landed a body blow, landed an average connect, and landed a solid shot. Kypreos missed a punch.

King landed a couple of pretty good shots. Nick missed a couple of left hands. Kris landed a couple of solid blows. Kypreos missed a few lefts and landed an average connect. King missed a couple of punches and landed a pretty good shot. The refs stopped the contest.

I rate this as a clear win for King. It was a one-sided contest where he dished out a lot of punishment. A case can be certainly made for a decisive win. Kypreos was still punching at the end, so I think it was technically a clear victory for King. I admire the competitive spirit of Kypreos. He competed with all his might despite getting tagged with shots that would have made a lesser man crumble.

Kris King clear win Fun
7
Nick Kypreos and Kris King meet up in the neutral zone and decide to drop the gloves. They latch on and Kypreos tries to get in close as King throws fourteen rights in a row, landing six. Kypreos tries to block with his left a couple of times and lowers his head before getting King's head down. King grabs for Kypreos' leg and Kypreos misses a right, then King throws four rights and lands two. Kypreos misses a right and gets bent over, King lands two rights then and knocks off Kypreos' helmet with one. Kypreos misses a left as King misses a right and King lands two rights while pulling Kypreos' head down. Kypreos misses three lefts after getting his head up and King misses a right after. King ducks outside on Kypreos as he lowers his head and King misses two rights. The linesmen step in and stop the fight there. Good bout between these two tough guys. King pummeled away on Kypreos for much of the fight, landing many rights while Kypreos was on the defensive for most of the fight and never landed a punch. Kypreos also got a cut on the forehead after the fight.

Kris King clear win Fun
8
Two young fighters of equal size get into an entertaining, yet one-sided fight. Kris King who is playing in just his 2nd NHL season takes on rookie Nick Kypreos who has only fought three times up to this point. Kypreos was a willing combatant but he was outmatched by the superior King in this instance. The two drop the gloves at center ice and go right at each other, not bothering to square off.

King lands three quick right hands. His helmet falls off but King lands two more rights followed by an uppercut. The Ranger lands a couple more blows before missing with a right as they get in close. King lands one to the back of the head as Kypreos just hangs on. They spin around and Kypreos misses with a weak punch. King tosses a body shot before landing two rights to the head.

Kypreos misses with a right and puts himself off balance. King capitalizes by tagging him with two right hands. King connects with another right as Kypreos misses with a left. King connects with two rights and ducks two lefts from Kypreos. King lands a right to the head and tosses two more body shots before the linesmen decide to move in. Kypreos looked very poor here as he only threw a couple punches, landing none of them. King landed all of the blows in the scrap as he just teed off on Kypreos, earning the clear win.

This was all King, he hammered Kypreos with many rights at center ice. I'm not sure if Kypreos landed a single punch and he was bleeding when he left the ice. Easy win for King.

Great showing by King pretty much peppering Kypreos with rights the entire fight, Kypreos may have landed one late but was otherwise dominated in this bout, I didn't think Kypreos was in a hopeless situation though so I'm calling it a one sided clear win for King.

Mark Janssens clear win Fun

Janssens got off to a good start in the fight. He landed a couple of decent lefts, landed an average punch, and landed a pretty good shot. He landed a solid blow, missed a punch, and landed an average connect. Rouse landed a solid right hand.

This fight became more of a wrestling contest along the boards. Janssens landed a body blow and missed a punch. Rouse landed a few decent right hands. Mark landed a solid left and missed a punch. Bob missed a final right hand before the refs stopped the contest.

I rate this as a clear win for Janssens. He landed several effective lefts early in the fight. Rouse was able to tie up the left hand down the stretch, but his connects were not impressive. He only landed one blow with above-average pop and three decent connects. Mark landed the better punches and put enough hurt on Rouse in the early going to earn the clear edge.

Mark Janssens narrow win Fun

Bob Rouse and Mark Janssens drop the gloves and wrestle along the boards only minutes after the Nick Kypreos and Kris King fight. Janssens misses a right while getting in tight on Rouse and then throws six lefts, landing four. Rouse misses a right while Janssens misses a left and Janssens misses two lefts after. Rouse lands a right but goes off balance as he's wrestled back by Janssens. Janssens misses a right and remains in close with Rouse. Rouse throws four rights and lands two but Janssens then gets some space between them. Janssens throws two lefts and lands one, then lands a left while Rouse lands a right. Rouse gets back in close as Janssens gets bent over and Rouse lands a right. The linesmen then move in and end the fight. Janssens was cut under his left eye after the fight. Decent scrap between these two big guys. Narrow win to Janssens for landing more punches.

Janssens blitzes Rouse with consistent facialpunches throughout the fight while Rouse had a difficult time trying to swing away. Totals show that Janssens scored a wide margin in the facialpunch count which earns him (Janssens) a clear win here.

John Ogrodnick scores but then there's some commotion beside the net as Bill Houlder and Tomas Sandstrom mix it up. Sandstrom takes Houlder to the ice and Kevin Hatcher gets involved as well but is grabbed from behind by Kelly Kisio. Meanwhile Ogrodnick pairs off with John Druce and James Patrick grabs hold of Dale Hunter. Mark Hardy shoves with Geoff Courtnall as the linesmen focus on breaking up Sandstrom and Houlder. The linesmen break up Hatcher and Kisio and then get Sandstrom and Houlder apart but then Hunter starts grappling with Patrick. A linesman comes over to make sure nothing amounts from that while Hardy and Courtnall wind up dropping the gloves. Courtnall ends up going down and covering up as Hardy takes control of the fight. A linesman gets in to break it up while the other linesman eventually gets between Patrick and Hunter. Fun

Draw Fun
3
Alain Cote and Troy Mallette get into some shoving along the boards and wind up dropping the gloves. Mallette and Cote grab on in close and Mallette throws three rights and lands one but then Cote throws two lefts and lands one that gets Mallette's helmet loose. Mallette wrestles off the boards but loses his helmet and goes off balance. Cote misses a left and Mallette falls to the ice. Mallette gets up and misses a right while the linesmen come in and break up the fight. A short, fast, very bad fight, despite both getting a few punches off.

Another wrestling match for Mallette, quick fight along the boards where Cote probably landed the only punch before they wrestled to the ice. Still a draw in a shit fight in my book.
