Short boring scrap. The refs separated them quickly.

Grapplefest, neither guy could get loose and the linesmen stepped in too quickly to break it up. Draw in a shit fight.

Kushner has a good grip on Kimble and deflects the only punch that's thrown, problem is he never gets off a punch of his own and it's just a dull wrestling match, draw.

Boxscore says:

PHI - Kerry Huffman (Fighting (maj)) 12:05 ;
QUE - Kimble (Fighting (maj)) 12:05

But it indeed was Kushner, not Huffman.

Terry Carkner clear win Fun
5
Carkner and Nolan went at it in the corner. Owen landed a decent right and missed a couple of blows. Terry landed a solid right and missed a couple of punches. He landed an average blow. Nolan landed a light punch. Carkner landed three decent blows and three light punches. The refs stopped the fight.

I rate this as a clear win for Carkner. He landed several more blows and with better overall impact.

Terry Carkner clear win Fun

Owen Nolan tries to skate past Terry Carkner but Carkner rides Nolan off the puck and gets him off balance. Nolan grabs Carkner and they drop the gloves before Paul Gillis jumps in on Carkner. Carkner and Nolan wrestle around a little bit and as Nolan misses two rights, Carkner's helmet comes off so he puts his head down. Nolan then throws three more rights, landing one before getting pushed against the boards by Carkner. Carkner gets his head up and throws three rights, landing one as Nolan pushes off the boards and gets in tight. Carkner pulls Nolan's helmet off but Nolan gets Carkner's head down although Carkner pushes it back up quickly. Carkner tries to stand back while throwing three rights but not landing any. Nolan wrestles Carkner against the boards and then misses a right as Carkner wrestles off them. Carkner tries to pull Nolan's head down then and switches hands, throwing seven lefts and missing just the last one before being wrestled down by Nolan. Pretty good fight and not bad from the very young rookie and first overall draft pick Nolan against a tough, veteran, defenseman in Carkner. Carkner still gets the clear win though.

Nolan with a few rights early, but Carkner then takes over and lands some decent rights, then switches to the left before they wrestle to the ice. Win Carkner.

Nolan lands a decent punch at the start then it's pretty much all Carkner from there as he lands a solid uppercut followed by a couple more shots then secures a headlock and pops him with a few lefts, clear win Carkner.

"My first NHL fight was with Terry Carkner of the Philadelphia Flyers. He's a pretty big boy and I give him the edge in the fight but I held my own and stuck in there."
-Nolan in an interview with Eric Servetah.

Scott Mellanby clear win Fun
3
Mellanby and Gillis decided to go after some pushing alongside the net. Paul was a poor fighter, but he got into his share of scraps. He went in for the clinch. Scott missed a blow and landed a decent punch. He landed a pretty good uppercut. He landed a body shot. The refs were quick to intervene.

I rate this as a clear win for Mellanby. He landed the only punches and one of them appeared to be a pretty good power shot. Gillis got tagged with yet another loss. I have yet to see him win a fight.

Mellanby is in control from the start with a couple rights, including a nice uppercut, and the linesmen step in early since Gillis is just holding on, clear win Mellanby
