David Shaw narrow win Fun

Kushner had a beef with the refs in this one. The men started to go and Dale fell to the ice. He missed two right hands. Shaw landed a solid right hand. The officials broke this one up immediately. Kushner couldn't fight back after getting tagged with the shot. David missed a few rights. I rate this as a narrow win for Shaw. I don't think the fight was unfair, but the early stoppage cost Kushner a chance to make a comeback in the fight.

Shaw got a bit of a jump and landed an early right then muscled Kushner to the ice, landed a good shot late as a single linesmen decided to play a hero and stepped in way to early, Shaw caught a break with the early stoppage and gets a narrow win.

This was payback for Mallette checking the Flyers goalie earlier in the game. Carkner nailed him along the boards and started throwing punches after the hit. He landed an average right. Troy landed a couple of decent blows. Terry missed a punch. Mallette tackled him and the two wrestled for awhile on the ice.

I rate this as a draw. Neither man was able to land any big punches. Mallette landed one more marginal blow. Carkner's punch had slightly more impact.

At the end of the game Terry Carkner drops the gloves and goes after Troy Mallette, grabbing him from behind but Mallette keeps his gloves on and gets hauled to the ice. A linesman gets between them and grabs Carkner but then Mallette jumps to his feet and drops the gloves to go back at Carkner. Carkner grabs at Mallette and misses a left which gets the linesman to move away. Mallette moves in and they grab on with Mallette landing a right. Carkner ducks in tight and Mallette misses a right. Then Mallette ducks as they wrestle up against the boards and Carkner lands a right while Mallette pushes off the boards and goes in low on Carkner. Mallette picks Carkner up and throws him down, missing a left as Carkner slides away from Mallette and gets up. Mallette gets up too and after Carkner misses a right, Mallette drives Carkner backward and off balance. Mallette sprawls over top of Carkner to hold him down but Carkner tries to get up, wrestling Mallette over onto his back before the linesmen reenter and break it up. Sloppy fight but it was eventful, even though it was mostly wrestling. Both guys only threw a few and mostly wrestled with Mallette getting a couple takedowns on Carkner. Still, it's clearly a draw as both landed a single punch.

Carkner goes after Mallette and they drop the gloves. Mallette with two rights, one hitting the helmet. Carkner with a right that misses. Mallette then decides to turn it into a wrestling match, he grabs Carkner's leg and takes him to the ice. But Carkner gets back up quickly and wants to throw, but Mallette doesn't want to trade punches at all and again just wrestles Carkner to the ice. They wrestle on the ice and Carkner gets on top and linesmen then get in. Kind of spirited wrestling match and a draw.

Each guy landed a blow or two but no damage was done and it's more wrestling than punching, draw.
