Jason Hamilton narrow win Fun
5
The camera gets there very late. They are already fighting for a good 10-15 seconds when they finally show it. The replay however shows the majority of the fight.

Hamilton is really intense at the beginning. He throws some short rights at Shelley, who is not responding. His accuracy is really bad, but he lands atleast one good blow on the side of the head. Hamilton is able to pull Shelley's jersey over his head, but at this point Shelley grazes Hamilton on the side of the helmet. Hamilton responds and lands a beauty on the face of Shelley. He gets him on the side of the face too before Shelley misses with one. They both tap each other with the next blow and continue to miss with the following blows. Hamilton again finds the side of Shelley's head and as Shelley tries to pull the jersey completely over, Hamilton misses with 3 shots. Hamilton gets the takedown shortly after that.

A pretty eventful fight here, but Hamilton landed better in this altercation. Although only one decent punch landed, both of them landed some other punches as well.

Hamilton was the aggressor and landed better, so he picks up a win over Jody Shelley.

A terrible, terrible fight.

You would expect a better showing from Hamilton, but it doesn't happen here. They are tight, near the boards. Abrahamsson throws a couple on the helmet and Hamilton is soon without his helmet. Abrahamsson throws an uppercut while Hamilton is punching the air. Abrahamsson then taps Hamilton and grazes the back of Hamilton's head with a haymaker before Hamilton gets the takedown. Hamilton throws some extra shots, while the linesmen separate. He gets up and starts to showboat.

This was a draw and if somebody gets a win here, it's Abrahamsson.

Michel Dodier narrow win Fun
4
Dodier and Udle are fighting right after a Halifax goal. When they get back live, they are already fighting near the center ice.

Dodier lands his first one on the helmet and takes Udle's helmet off. Udle tries to respond, but most of his punches are short. Dodier probably didn't reach Udle's head with that counter and he grazes the side of Udle's head with the following punch. He misses again with the right and they begin wrestling. Udle's punch was short and Dodier lands one on the back of the head. Dodier misses with his punch and they wrestle some more. Eventually the refs step in.

A hard-fought battle with minimum action. Dodier was more agressive and he was able to connect with some minor punches. It's enough to give him a narrow win, but i won't argue with the draw call either.

This event was entertaining.

As the Sullivan-Dodier is going on, Clark Udle taps Dodier's leg with his stick. Carpentier is right behind Udle and attacks him. Right after that Dusablon and Roy began to fight. Eventually Verdule and Laplante pairs off and the remaining pairs, Gilby and Baldris are next.

Unfortunately the camera didn't caught all the action, but it was really hard as there were 5 fights during the stoppage. Basically the two complete lines went at each other. Even the goalies thought about fighting, but Bilodeau was not interested.

The fight started near the corner.

When the camera gets there, they attempt to go T2T. It doesn't work for Sullivan as Dodier lands the best punches, even though he was attacked by Udle. He landed several shots on the helmet and even landed one flush on the visor. Sullivan then managed to take Dodier's helmet off and he lands some short shots on the side of the head. It looks like Dodier is going for the takedown when he crumbles to the ice. Sullivan then throws some extra shots at him.

Spirited battle here, Dodier landed the better blows early and Sullivan came back later. After re-watching the fight i changed my call to a draw.

Udle's interaction with Dodier caused the whole brawl. Carpentier goes right after him.

Unfortunately the camera never showed the actual fight. All we can see is that Carpentier is on top of somebody. It is Udle as the other players were involved elsewhere, so the only possible player is Udle. Carpentier threw some bodyshots at him and thats all. It is impossible to tell, what happened before that. Most likely Carpentier quickly got him on the ice.

From the footage it looks like a clear Carpentier win, but i have to leave it as N/A because I don't know what happened before and how it ended.

According the announcers, this was the next fight.

An even shorter footage is avalaible for this fight. All we can see is Roy missing with a punch and getting a hard takedown. Dusablon fell pretty hard and it is a miracle, that he was not hurt.

Impossible to tell, what happened here. I can't even guess as the camera showed them only for a few seconds.

Eric Laplante narrow win Fun

The main event. This was the longest fight and it was probably the best stand-up fight.

The replay shows the beginning of the fight and Laplante means business. He lands better and grazes Verdule's head at least once. The camera gets back when Laplante was without his jersey. He misses with a right then they chat. Laplante taps Verdule on the back of the head, lands a bodyshot and probably grazes Verdule's chin with an uppercut. Verdune, after a few lame tries, misses with a left. Laplante shakes free and mostly misses with his shots. He attempts a takedown with his leg, but that didn't work. Laplante grazes Verdule with his right and they wrestle some more. They both missed with their shot at the same time. After a bit of wrestling the fight is finally over.

This was a long fight and both of these guys deserved some props. Laplante landed more, but nothing major. Although some action is missing from the video, the replay shows the majority of it and it's enough to rate this fight.

Laplante gets a narrow victory in my eyes in one of the better fights of the year.

Andrew Gilby clear win Fun

This was the 3rd fight they showed, but apparently this fight started the latest.

Baldris and Gilby are throwing with mean intentions. Gilby gets Baldris on the side of the head a few times while Baldris misses with most of his shots. They start to wrestle and they each missed with their shots. Gilby gets behind Baldris and gets a huge takedown. The face of Baldris hits the ice hard, Gilby gets behind Baldris and throws a punch on the back of the head. When the camera gets back, Baldris is on top, but nothing happens. The ref is around them and thats the time the camera show them at last.

This was a wicked and pretty brutal fight as Baldris hit his face on the ice pretty badly and Gilby might punched his face to the ice as well. Baldris couldn't get revenge, but this was a pretty entertaining fight.

Too bad they didn't throw more punches in this one as the fun rating would be higher.
