Wendel Clark beings to turn around at a blueline and Mike Eagles comes in hard and trucks Clark to the ice. Eagles didn't get all of Clark but it sure looked nice. Clean hit, no head shot and Eagles hit Clark with a shoulder to the chest. Fun

This was a good fight while it lasted. Both guys did some damage. The two were mucking it up in the corner and decided to go. Clark missed a right and landed a solid left. Kennedy missed a punch, landed an average blow, and landed a solid punch.

Wendel got a little better of the early going. He landed a solid shot and a pretty good left hook. Dean missed a couple of punches, landed an average blow, and landed a solid right. Clark landed a solid connect and landed an average shot. He missed a couple of blows. Kennedy adjusted his grip and took away the right hand.

Dean finished the fight in strong fashion. He landed a solid blow, a pretty good right, and an average shot. The men clinched and the refs broke up the face. Both looked like they had been in a fender-bender. Clark had a cut over an eye and Kennedy had a bloody nose.

This was a good fight. Both men landed some power punches. I think it was about even. I agree with the majority of reviewers about the contest.

The Maple Leafs are putting pressure on the Jets in the Winnipeg zone. Play is whistled. Toronto's pugnacious power forward Wendel Clark, who was hanging around the Jet net, meets up with tough Winnipeg defenseman Dean Kennedy near the back boards. A few seconds earlier, Clark threw a hit on Kennedy, so it looks like Dean wants to have words with Wendel. As Kennedy skates near Clark and says something, Wendel throws a quick crosscheck up at the taller Dean and hurls off his gloves.

Kennedy gets his gloves off a second later, but Wendel is a step ahead of him. Clark is instantly swinging away viciously as Kennedy is just shedding his mitts. The fireplug Leaf throws a quick right and then switches hands. Clark reels off three or four fast lefts, catching Kennedy with a couple stiff shots to the face while in-close. Kennedy is able to grab on and control Clark's arms, then regroup and fire back.

Kennedy pulls Clark close to him and gets his right arm loose. Kennedy hammers away with over a half-dozen consecutive right hands. Wendel then threw a couple more punches back, but failed to land this time. Kennedy's blows open up a sizeable cut near Wendel's left eye. Clark is gritting his teeth in anger and pain as Dean's punches seem to home in on the open wound. One particularly hard punch snaps Clark's head back. Blood flows from the cut.

Kennedy seems to run out of steam and stops punching. Both men grab on and grapple. Clark was about to attempt to throw a left hand, but the linesmen see fit to end the fight at that point.

Clark and Kennedy were both pretty banged up as they made their way off the ice. The cut near Clark's eye was leaving a trail of blood down Wendel's face. Kennedy's nose was busted up and blood leaked from a cut near his temple. Dean also had some nasty-looking knuckleprints on his right cheek. Kennedy was sporting two black eyes for several games after this scrap, most likely from a broken nose.

An even number of punches landed on both sides and neither of these warriors was unscathed. It is easiest to call it a draw, even though Kennedy was showing more evidence of damage for a while afterwards. Clark got the jump and did some damage on Dean, but Kennedy gamely came back and put some hurt on Wendel.

It was a really good, really mean fight.

Entertaining scrap behind the Winnipeg net with Clark starting strong landing some solid lefts and Kennedy finishing strong with some good rights. Clark was cut near his left eye and Kennedy had a bloody nose.
