Jackman and Semenov are skating into the Islander zone. Semenov gives Jackman a bump from behind. After some minor stickplay, they drop the gloves. Semenov holds Jackman at arm's length and Jackman misses short with a right uppercut. Semenov tosses two rights and both punches also fall short. Jackman switches to the left and throws two looping punches that also miss the mark. Semenov fans again with the right and Jackman counters with a weak left to the body. They grapple and Semenov gets Jackman in a headlock and hip tosses him to the ice.
Draw. Semenov scored an impressive takedown but didn't do much in the punching department. Jackman was more aggressive but didn't appear to land any significant blows. |

| Alexei Semenov is in the lineup to for Jody Shelley and ends up dropping the gloves with a fellow big tough guy, Tim Jackman. Semenov and Jackman grab on right away and Jackman misses two rights while they grapple. Semenov misses two rights, then misses a third right as Jackman switches hands and lands a left. Jackman misses three lefts as Semenov works in close on Jackman and wrestles. Semenov wrestles Jackman down and the fight is stopped. Bad, short, fight. Draw for sure. |

| Christian Ehrhoff is deep in the offensive zone, pinning fellow defenseman, Bruno Gervais to the boards. Gervais gives Ehrhoff an elbow to the face and Ehrhoff throws a gloved rabbit punch with the left. Ehrhoff then skates away as the puck comes loose but Doug Weight moves in and crosschecks Ehrhoff to the ice. Ehrhoff gets up and drops the gloves with Weight. They both grab on with the left and Weight lands a right before Ehrhoff lands a looping right. Weight then gets in tight as Ehrhoff throws three rights, landing two to the helmet as Weight starts wrestling. Ehrhoff then throws three small lefts, landing two also on the helmet as he's pushed into the glass by Weight. They get off the boards and Ehrhoff misses a right while Weight misses a right of his own. Then after Ehrhoff misses a right, Weight lands a right to the visor and gets Ehrhoff down. The linesmen jump in and the two are separated. Short fight but not too bad in my opinion. Draw. |

Weight goes after Erhoff who punched Streit at the back of the head, Weight just goes right after him, and the two went at it, Erhoff gave Weight a couple of noogies
and the two go to the ice hard. |

Other players come in, Ryane Clowe and Derek Joslin for the San Jose Sharks and Blake Comeau and Chris Campoli for the New York Islanders. Clowe and Campoli pair off but just hold onto each other while the officials are able to break up the the rest of the scrum fairly quickly. | Fun

He shakes his gloves as a bunch of others come in, Campoli and Clowe pair off along with Comeau and Joslin. A couple of sticks drop but it settles down quick. Comrie got two min. | Fun

Sean Bergenheim is the first target of Joslin but Tim Jackman gets right in there and exchanges some gloved punches with Joslin.
