Tie Domi win by TKO Fun
7
Tie Domi and Cam Russell skate near each other in front of the Blackhawks' net. All it takes is a few seconds of conversation for them to shed the gloves and go at it. The fight is over quick. They exchange punches, and Domi almost immediately drops Russell.

The punch wasn't some massive 100 MPH haymaker, but it certainly caught Russell in the right spot: directly on the chin. Domi got him square, and Cam buckled and went down in a heap. Domi stopped throwing, stood up, and calmly went to the penalty box.

For some reason, Chicago goalie Ed Belfour comes charging out of the net and goes after Domi, who has his back to him and has no idea what Belfour's doing. The linesmen stop Belfour, though, before he can reach Domi. Belfour was upset about something, but I don't know what. Domi dropped Russell fair and square, and he let up when he realized Russell was hurt.

Russell gets up and is in some difficulty. On top of getting TKOed, he apparently injured his knee when he went down to the ice.

Tie Domi and Cam Russell drop the gloves in the slot area and right away both guys start letting the punches fly but the fight is a short one with Domi getting the best of their short exchange. Russell throws two rights and lands one as Domi throws two lefts and lands one square on Russell which floors him. As Russell lays prone on the ice, Domi lands one more left before letting up. Domi goes off to the box as Russell is slow to his feet and clearly hurting a bit after taking that big punch from Domi. TKO Domi this round.

Not sure how devastating the punch was. When Russell got up, it was obvious he had hurt his knee. Whether he hurt it before or after the punch, he did go down after Domi threw one.

There is a faceoff at center ice, and Basil McRae is paired with Tie Domi. McRae wants to go, but Domi doesn't and is ignoring him. McRae grabs Domi, but Domi shrugs him off and follows the puck.

Later in the shift, McRae tries to entice Domi to go by throwing an elbow at the Leaf tough guy, knocking Tie down. As Domi is trying to get back up, McRae throws aside his gloves and grabs him, but the linesmen intervene.

Basil gets two minutes for interference, which wasn't a bad deal for him!
Nowadays, he'd have gotten 2, 5, 10, and a gamer.

McRae wanted to go, dropped his gloves and grabbed Domi but Domi wasn't interested and kept his gloves on, stick in his hand and did a standing turtle. Linesmen were in quickly. Fun

Bob Probert and Tie Domi are eyeing each other at a faceoff. Domi taps him with his stick when the puck drops and seems ready to go. Probert skates up the ice after the puck. Domi follows him.

They meet behind the net. Domi gets his glove up in Probert's face, and Probert responds in kind. All of the players and the officials come piling in. Probert and Domi are separated and yap at each other for a bit before being penalized.

Not much happening here, just some hugging and face washing between these two and the linesmen were in as well. Fun
