Brendan Shanahan and Turner Stevenson come together at the benches and drop the gloves. They grab on and get in close with each other, wrestling along the boards. Shanahan turns away from Stevenson to say something to a linesman before they move into open ice. Stevenson misses a right and Shanahan misses a right as they get separation from each other. They grapple and then Stevenson gets his right arm out of his sweater and gets rid of his elbow pad too. Stevenson throws three rights and lands two on the helmet, then Shanahan lands a right. Stevenson misses a right and Shanahan misses a left after as his elbow pad comes flying off. Shanahan gets back in close and they just wrestle. The linesmen come in and Shanahan resumes speaking to them. Shanahan is quite upset and continues talking to the linesmen for a while after the fight is broken up. Boring scrap and a draw.

Turner Stevenson narrow win Fun

They were dead locked for a while along the bench but once Stevenson got his arm out of his jersey he fired some good rights, Shanahan did a good job of ducking them but he also took a couple and I think it earned a win to Stevenson.

Starts as a wrestling match, Stevenson tries to get his right hand free and he gets it out of his jersey and throws a few with maybe one or two hitting Shanahan's helmet while Shanahan throws a couple of his own and hits Stevenson's helmet once, then the linesmen get in. Draw or a slight edge Stevenson, but I don't think Stevenson has done enough so it's a draw.

I don't know about a narrow win here. Neither really did much, nothing damaging landed. Unfair to give the win to a guy for throwing one more meaningless punch. IMO.

Bob Rouse and Vincent Damphousse are battling for the puck on the boards when Brad Brown takes a run at Rouse, knocking him to the ice. Tim Taylor steps in on Brown but Brown lands a gloved punch which knocks Taylor back. Jamie Pushor gets there then and drops the gloves with Brown after giving him a shove. Brown and Pushor grab on and Brown misses three rights as Pushor misses two lefts and then Brown is grabbed from behind by Taylor and pulled to the ice. The linesmen jump in as Pushor goes down on top and then Greg Johnson and Mark Recchi pile in too. A very short, very bad fight. Draw.

Big rookie defenseman Brad Brown knocks veteran defenseman Bob Rouse to the ice as the players are scrumming for the puck along the boards. Tim Taylor tries to get involved and come to Rouse's defense but he backs off when Brown takes a swing at him. The two men lock up. Brown throws three rights but all of them fail to connect. Pushor throws two left hands but he too fails to connect with anything. Taylor comes in to grab Brown from behind and pull him to the ice which results in a pileup as the other players get involved as well.

No punches landed in this brief altercation, making this a draw.
