| These two tie up each other and throw a few punches as they wrestle. Then they go down to the ice together. A couple of swings look good but nothing gets close to landing. |

Oliwa opens with a big right to the back of Downey's head which knocks him down to the ice. As Downey gets up he lands a big straight right squarely on Oliwa's face. This punch may well have shaken Oliwa and caused him losing the fight later on, but it's not obvious right away. They exchange several more rights, landing one more each. Oliwa loses his balance and drops on one knee following one of his own missed punches. Then there is a brief pause as they tie each other up. The fight is about even at this point.
What happens next is a bit unexpected. As Downey starts going with his left hand, Oliwa doesn't respond, covering up instead. Downey lands several big punches in a row, all on the body, but heavy enough to drop Oliwa to his knees and into submission.
The only reason I can think of for Oliwa stopping fighting is that he felt the first right by Downey more than it showed at first. |

It starts after a goal by the Flames. These two drop the gloves and grab on. Oliwa missed one and Downey missed one right back. Oliwa countered landing one and Downey fell to a knee. Downey popped up and popped Oliwa with a good right then missed the second. Downey's helmet popped off and he landed another right. Oliwa threw one back missing with it and Downey answered missing one but landing the second. Oliwa then landed one and fell to a knee. Downey landed one as Oliwa was down but Oliwa popped up quickly and they tangled up. Downey got in a short left as they were head to head wrestling. Downey opened up with some big lefts and dropped Oliwa to a knee and the linesmen came in.
TKO win Downey as his last uppercut put down Oliwa. This showed what Downey can do when he lets his fist fly as he took it to a decent fighter in OIiwa. Good fight though. |

| Aaron Downey and Krzysztof Oliwa drop the gloves behind the play and they both grab on with the left and start throwing early. Oliwa lands a right and after Downey misses a right, another Oliwa right connects and Downey falls. Oliwa again lands a right but then Downey gets up throwing three rights and lands one although his helmet falls off while he's doing so. Then Oliwa misses a right before Downey throws two rights and lands one again. Downey and Oliwa throw simultaneously and as Downey's right lands, Oliwa's right misses. Downey then connects with a right which sends the off balance Oliwa to his knees and then Oliwa misses a right while getting up. A Downey right misses too and then Oliwa gets in close and they wrestle. Downey switches hands and then throws six lefts, landing four with the second last one dropping Oliwa to his knees. The linesmen intervene afterward and the fight is stopped. A good tussle between two heavyweights although Oliwa held a large size advantage over Downey. Oliwa began the fight the better of the two but Downey came back and stung Oliwa with a couple hard punches, a right that stunned him and a left later on that dropped him. |

| I don't think this was a TKO but Downey proved how tough he is taking on a guy who was much bigger and hung in to the end where he started pound Oliwa. |

| Good win for Downey. Oliwa lands one at the beginning but Downey then takes over and feeds Oliwa with rights. Downey switches to the lefts and appears to drop Oliwa with one in the end. TKO or at least a clear win for Downey, definitely not one of Oliwa's better showings this season. |
