Brad Chartrand narrow win Fun
4
Brad Chartrand and Blake Sloan get tangled up while battling for the puck in the corner boards and eventually begin wrestling. Sloan loses his helmet and not long afterwards, the mitts come off. Chartrand misses a right before Sloan misses a right. Chartrand misses a right and has his arm get a bit caught up in his jersey as Sloan lands a right. Then Chartrand gets his arm freed up a little and misses two rights. They pause momentarily and Chartrand misses two more rights while they travel towards the boards. Sloan throws two rights and lands one and then gets in closer on Chartrand. Sloan misses a right and Chartrand throws five rights after, landing four. Sloan is then wrestled down by Chartrand and the linesmen step in to break up the fight. Chartrand landed slightly more and better punches. Slight edge to Chartrand in a fairly bad scrap.

Just a glorified wrestling match, both guys more worried about blocking shots than connecting on shots. Still pretty intense.

In the corner they tussle and then chartrand is the only one throwing & connecting on punches to the back of the head. Sloan just grappled. Hence, narrow win for chartrand.

No.7, do you know if this fight happened as the other fight was going on or if it was after the next face-off? You probobly don't know because you just looked at boxscores maybe, but i'm asking this because this fight doesn't seem to be at the same time as the other. Also i have a tape with all the fights, and this doesn't seem to be on it.Reply

It must have happened during the same stoppage in play because both Ott and Norton got misconducts on top of the FM's. This means that the refs must have called their fight a secondary altercation.

Most likely, I haven't seen the event.

Ok, i went back and looked at the tapes and after the first fight they show a replay and when they come back from that, Ott and Norton are already in the box so it must have been a very quick scrap either during the first fight or during the replay. Either way it was never shown and the commentators only talked about it when they were heading off the ice die to the misconducts. So it did happen, just never shown on the feed.Reply

It was the Los Angeles (FSN) feed. If you would like to see it i'll send you the clip, and if you know of any other feeds let me know. I re-watched it and it definately happened as the other fight was going on because they are in the box before the other 2 get there and i saw Ott take a late shot on the net and Norton was right in front of him before the camera changed to the fight.Reply
