	David Maley was standing in front of the Panthers net and Mark Fitzpatrick took his goalie stick to Maley's face. Maley went to the ice and covered up but jumped up and attacked Fitzpatrick when he realized there was no whistle. The players fell to the ice and Murphy jumped on top of Maley in defense of his goaltender as other players and the referees joined in. Maley was fuming still and was trying to take shots at Murphy but had no success since players and linesmen were in the way. Maley received the only major penalty and Murphy may have received a game misconduct for being third man in.
