Draw Fun

As the referee drops the puck, Jake Dowell and Nathan Smith throw away sticks with gloves and square off. They quickly grab on and get in tight. Smith frees his right arm and throws two punches, one of which looks to connect. Dowell opens up as well and responds with three lefts in a row. They come in close quarters after one simultaneous connection. Smith takes off his opponent's bucket and the trading continues as Smith lands one right while both Dowell's shots look to miss. Jake grazes the forehead with a wild punch but loses balance and goes to his knees. He receives one solid right and gets up. Each of them misses before Dowell pulls Smith down to the ice. The linesmen break it up and lead combatants to the boxes.

Decent scrap between these two guys. Looked like both of them connected with a pretty equal amount of shots, so I go with a draw here.

Jake Dowell and Nathan Smith take a faceoff against each other and then they drop them. After squaring off, they latch onto each other in tight. After some wrestling, Smith gets some separation and throws two rights, landing one. Dowell then throws three lefts and lands two as Smith misses a right. Smith resets himself and misses a right while Dowell misses a left. Smith then takes off Dowell's helmet and they lock up in tight again. They get separation immediately though and Dowell lands a left as Smith misses a right. Dowell misses two lefts while Smith lands two rights and Dowell goes to his knees. Dowell gets back to his skates immediately while Smith throws two rights and lands one. Dowell switches hands and misses a right. Smith then gets pulled down by Dowell and the referees step in and end the fight. Fairly average scrap. I thought it was rather close.

John Scott win by TKO Fun
6
Big Minnesota defenseman John Scott sends Blackhawks' player into the boards with a big hit. Daniel Bois decides to stand up for his teammate and instigates much bigger Scott into a fight. As they take a grip John goes off-balance. However, he quickly gets up and feeds Bois with two long rights to the helmet, which comes off after it. Scott connects with a grazer to the head while Bois tries to land a left, but it hits Scott's arm and doesn't reach the target. Bois falls short with another punch and loses his grip for a moment. He gets the hold with his left but takes a solid right from Scott. This shot connects with the head and buckles Daniel's knees. He hits the ice and Scott immediately skates away.

Scott used his big size advantage pretty well here. He pulled Bois and landed a solid right, which knocked Bois to the ice. Nice TKO win for Scott.

John Scott win by TKO Fun
6
Scott crashes into a Blackhawks player against the boards and Bois come in quickly to stick up for his team mate colliding in to Scott and Scott falls to the ice momentary. Scott quickly got back up to his skates and threw two long straight right hands at Bois and then removed Bois helmet. Bois then threw two lefts at Scott but both fell short of the target and Scott then nailed Bois with another straight right hand that dropped the smaller player to the ice ending the fight.

Bois could not deal with the reach of Scott who held Bois out with the left hand before feeding him with a couple of rights. The last punch Scott threw dropped Bois so Scott picks up the TKO win in this bout.

TKO win Scott.

John Scott collides with Daniel Bois at the benches and the gloves come off right away. Scott throws two rights and lands one off the helmet of Bois. Then Bois misses a right and Scott misses a right afterwards. Then Bois stands back and changes hands. Bois misses two lefts and as ge starts to move in close with Scott, he lands a right to the head which flattens Bois. Scott lets go and skates off. TKO win Scott. Alright scrap.

Bois goes after Scott after Scott flattens a Blackhawk along the boards. Scott falls initially but gets up and lands a few weak blows to Bois. Bois is uneffective due to the massive reach advantage of Scott. Finally Scott lands a bomb to the side of Bois' head and drops him to the ice. Nice TKO by Scott.

Nice shot from Scott.. He could be the reason Boogaard does not get much time with the wild this season.. He looks a capable heavyweight to me..Reply

Shawn Lalonde win by TKO Fun
5
Shawn Lalonde and Tyler Cuma lose the helmets and gloves off a draw and proceed with squareoff. They come together and Cuma throws four rights and lands one while Lalonde keeps his head turned away. Cuma throws two rights more that miss, then as Cuma misses again with a right, Lalonde throws seven rights, landing four. Cuma just ducks his head and then goes down to the ice. The officials start to move in but Cuma gets up in tight with Lalonde. Cuma throws two rights and connects with one. Cuma gets ducking again as Lalonde misses a right. They stay in tight and Cuma misses a right, Lalonde then connects on a right that sends Cuma to the ice where the scrap's ended. TKO Lalonde in a decent fight.

These two go buckets off and have a decent exchange. Lalonde gets Cuma twisted up and knocks him down with a punch to the ice. Decent TKO win for Lalonde.

Matt Kassian clear win Fun
5
Matt Kassian gets Aaron Johnson to drop the gloves shortly after a faceoff and they latch onto one another fast. Kassian gets Johnson down but they get up and trade rights. Kassian throws four and lands two as Johnson misses two. Kassian then gets behind Johnson who gets turned around. Kassian throws four lefts and lands one then Johnson gets himself back facing Kassian. Kassian throws three rights and lands one and Johnson ducks his head. Kassian throws three lefts, lands one, then theows two rights, and lands one before Johnson goes down to the ice. One-sided fight as the non-fighter Johnson took on the heavyweight tough guy Kassian and lost badly. Okay scrap.

Pretty embarrising fight for Johnson, not sure why he went with Kassian in the first place. Kassian just ragdolled him and landed the only punches of the fight. Johnson just hung on for dear life.

Kassian easily beats Johnson in this fight, getting behind him early and landing some shots then when Johnson finally got turned around he just ate another flurry and fell to the ice.

The puck is dumped in and is picked up in the corner by Brian Connelly. However Benoit Pouliot comes in from the other side and runs into Connelly. Pouliot leads with the shoulder and hits Connelly's in the shoulder, sending him down right away. Good hit by Pouliot. Fun
