Brad May narrow win Fun
4
A battle between two Brads here. 4th liner Brad Winchester pushes at old veteran Brad May from behind and then gives him an extra shove in front of the Detroit bench. The two men mutually shed the gloves and square off at center ice. They lock up and Winchester tosses a jersey jab while taking a right from May. Winchester continues to jab away while May lands another right. Winchester lands a right, knocking May's helmet off. May counters with a right that connects as Winchester stumbles. Winchester loses his footing and goes down, dragging May with him. May hits Winchester with two rights on the way down before falling over top of him.

Not much of a fight but May gets the win for landing more and better punches than Winchester. This was May's last NHL fight. 3 days later he would be placed on waivers by the Red Wings. May cleared and was ultimately sent to the minors where he joined Grand Rapids.

Brad May takes on the larger and younger Brad Winchester. They square each other up at centre ice for a short while. Then May and Winchester get a grip with the left and Winchester begins immediately with jersey jabs. May misses two right jabs as Winchester continues with the jersey jabs and then misses a right hook. May misses another right jab and loses his helmet. Winchester then loses his balance and as he goes down, May lands two weak right jabs to the helmet. May falls down too so the linesmen come in and split up the two combatants. A draw and a poor fight too.

They get a hold of each other after a nice square off at centre ice. Winchester throws a bunch of jersey jabs, knocking off the bucket, while May counters with two glancing rights to the helmet. Winchester than lands one decent overhand shot, loses his balance and as he goes down, May sneaks in one right to the face.

Crap fight but not a surprise 'cause Brad Winchester was involved. Draw, neither guy did enough for the win.

Had a great start, high expectations, some decent jersey jabs by Winchester, but unfortunately Winchester has the balance of a drunken one-legged man and they go down. Hopefully there will be a round 2.

Winchester checks May along the boards by the Red Wings bench, he shoves May pretty high up almost ending in a facewash, May immediatly shakes the gloves to challange, Winchester willingly accepts and they move out to center ice where there is more room to square off, they come together and Winchester uses his left to grab ahold of Mays collar and begins with some jersey jabs, one in which pushed Mays jersey up his face and knocks his helmet off, after a few May throws a few rights and Winchester throws a few back, May catches Winchester with a few before they lose balance and fall to the ice, where Winchester was in a position to crack May while he was down before the refs would come in, but in respect and holds off and waits for the refs to come between them and have a quick chat before they go to the box. Narrow win for May from coming back from Winchesters jersey jabs at the start and coming back for the draw. Winchester early, with the left jersey jabs, and May battled back at the end for the possible slight edge, but I'm calling it a draw after the second time around, Winchester has too nice to jabs to give the win to May. Draw.

Not a great fight. Neither landed any clean shots, but May landed 4 or 5 to the side of helmet while Winchester only landed one. Edge May in this battle of the Brad's.

Winchester was throwing jersey jabs the whole way, while May took him down and landed maybe one. Not enough either way in my opinion, so I call it a draw.

Both fighters missed a couple shots, May then was able to land a couple shots in close on Winchester on his way down. The stronger Winchester flipped May over and got over top of May before the linesmen came in.

Brad May VS Brad Winchester February 9th / 2010

Brad Winchester goes along the boards and dishes out a check to Brad May. The two men then come clear of the other players and decide to drop the gloves. They square off for a short time and finally grab on and get started.

Winchester starts firing the left handed jersey jabs while Brad May hangs on and attempts to throw some right hands over the top on Winchester. Winchester then gets the helmet off of the head of May and the pair of Brads exchange a right hand each and then Winchester goes down.

Final Decision,

Draw.

Haha, anybody else that is watching TSN? During the intermission, the analysts were doing the "Plus/Minus" segment and I think they were just finishing talking about whether or not Quick could surpass Brodeurs 48 win record of the seasn, and one of them start talking about how it would be an "enormous load", and one guy just starts losing it and they keep joking about enormous loads until the commerical break, I found it quite funny. Just wondering if anybody else saw it?Reply
