Mark Fistric narrow win Fun
3
Mark Fistric throws a big, clean, hit on Robbie Earl and Cody Almond immediately starts a scrap with Fistric. They grab on and get in close quarters where Fistric takes off Almond's helmet and visor. Almond turns himself away from Fistric and lowers his head. Fistric then batters Almond with a barrage of six right hands. Three of Fistric's punches connect to the head of Almond and one connects to the body. Then Fistric falls down and Almond lands on top of Fistric. The linesmen come in and work on breaking them apart. Win for Fistric in a short but eventful fight.

another B.S. retaliation after a clean open ice hit. I'm convinced Almond does it largely because he wants to show the coaches something of his "grit" in an effort to make the team next year.Reply

Re: rookie trying to impress....I pointed that out if you would have read my post. The problem is that more and more, clean checks are resulting in a retaliation by a third skater. If you like big open ice hits, this is bad. If you want fewer hits then the retaliation is great.
