Ondrus runs Glumac into the boards as Glumac passes off the puck. Ondrus holds Glumac up and they talk for a bit and decide to go. Glumac gets the first punch off that lands to the side/top of Ondrus' helmet. They wrestle around for a bit as Ondrus tries to get Glumac's helmet off. Glumac throws and misses another right and then Ondrus rips off Glumac's helmet. Glumac tries to throw another right that misses and he loses balance and he falls to the ice with Ondrus about to throw but decides not to and the refs jump in.
Draw in a crappy fight but good fight for Ondrus to take. |

Off the next faceoff after the Ondrus-Glumac match up they drop the gloves. Neilson quickly comes in after the square off with a bunch of right hands, landing them pretty good. Greenop comes back with some of his own rights that land. They continue to throw punches but mainly miss. Greenop clearly lands his punches better when they do land. Neilson switches to left and lands a couple then Greenop lands some lefts. Greenop switches to his right and lands a couple good punches before they tie each other up. The refs start to move in and they give each other a pat on the back of the head.
Greenop gets the edge in this one. A very good first fight for him in the AHL. Should be the makings of one of the best AHLers over the next few years. |

Very good performance by Greenop as Neilson cranked him with a few big shots right when they grabbed on and continued to control Greenop for the early parts of the fight. But Greenop came on very strong late, outlasting Neilson and took complete control of the later part of the fight. Greenop connected on a number of punches before the linesmen stepped in and earned the win.
Very long and good fight Greenop reminded me of Darren Langdon in this fight with taking the worst of it early but coming on very strong late. A good victory for him. |

| Neilson had a strong early showing but greenop came back, its to close in my opinion to give the fight to any one with both fighters having their moments.. a long spirited bout.. good to see a young guy holding his own with older tough guys |

| It was very entertaining i was at the game. It happened just after the whistle. Neilson hit hard at first but Greenop came back hard and controlled the rest of the fight. Greenop's shots seemed to be more effective, where as Neilson's didn't seem to flinch Greenop. Way to make the game that much more exciting |

Oct 5, 2009 18:36 ET | i tell you what. ive been seeing alot of this show of respect at the end of fights and i think it is a great thing for fight fans as it adds a little bit of class to the bouts. people who hate fights think they are mindless brutes beating the hell out of each other with no regard and by giving each other a pat on the head or a mutual nod it shows them for what they are. hockey players doing their job. ive been watching greenop for a while now in the ohl and if he makes it to the nhl he could be a future champ. | Reply |
