Nothing happened. Refs separated them too early. No punches thrown.

Ron Friest decisive win Fun
6
Friest had a grudge against O'Callahan because of the time Jack bit his nose in a fight. Ron taught him a real lesson in this bout. He dominated this fight. O'Callahan threw some right hands in the beginning of the fight. He missed a punch, landed a partial connect, and missed another punch.

Friest missed a punch and landed a good right hook. He missed a punch and landed a solid blow. He missed with a couple of punches and connected with a pretty good shot. O'Callahan was well behind in the bout. He did manage to land a couple of right handed partial connects.

Ron continued to pour it on. He landed a couple of decent rights. He landed a solid punch and missed a shot. O'Callahan clinched, but he couldn't maintain a grip and slid to his knees. Friest took advantage by popping him with a good left hook. The refs stopped the bout.

I rate this as a decisive win for Friest. He landed several good punches in the bout. He battered O'Callahan and proved he was far the superior fighter. He landed a good shot as Jack was already on his knees. Jack was slow to get up in the aftermath. It might even be argued that this was a TKO win, but I rate it as a decisive win because Jack was not dropped by a punch, although he was in trouble at the end of the fight.

All Friest in this one as he peppers O'Callahan with rights from over and under. O'Callahan manages to rip Friest's helmet off and land one non-damaging left. Friest uses his strength to wrestle O'Callahan to his knees and then delivers a left that puts him on his back.

Ron Friest clear win Fun

Friest lands well with his rights in the beginning of the fight and O'Callahan seems hurt and holding on, throwing punches sporadically. Friest then wrestle O'Callahan to the ice. This was the third fight of the year between these two who had a little rivalry going on between them. The Chicago/Minnesota games back then were always very physical. It was a good rivalry between the teams.

Friest does a nice job pumping those punches early and lands so many early that the fight is his from start to finish. He does a nice job here of simply going in and taking it.
