Greg Adams drops a pass back off the boards but is then rammed into the glass by a hard shoulder hit from the side by Dean Kennedy. Adams falls down after bouncing off the boards. Clean hit by Kennedy. Fun

Craig Coxe and Ken Baumgartner get into an exciting bout in this one. Both drop the gloves and go right at it. Bomber lands one off the bat and Coxe is throwing shots before even having a hold. The first 11-12 seconds of this fight are all action. As usual Coxe gets in a shootout and both fighters fire away.

Baumgartner lands a few lefts in the early stages of this throwdown, knocking Coxe's helmet off. Coxe comes back and lands a few good right hands. As they fire wildly, Bomber actually loses hold of Coxe completely. He flails back in with lefts and lands a nice solid shot. Coxe never stops throwing the whole time, landing a few, but missing wildly with most of his shots.

After this furious exchange, they grapple in close with Bomber trying to sneak in some right hands. Both then miss wildly with right hands and begin to wrestle. Bomber then lands a good right. He then switches to his left hand and connects with one before losing hold of Coxe again. Coxe misses with a left and the two come together again and wrestle. Bomber then shoves a left hand into Coxe's face as they wrestle for the take down. Coxe pulls down Bomber and the linesmen get in.

Entertaining scrap from these two. Coxe never played defense when it came to fights and always entertained. I have to call this a draw as both fighters seemed to land equally. Coxe was a free swinger and Bomber was an awkward lefty technician. That's why this fight is so crazy right off the bat with both fighters throwing bombs and not getting set. Great fight.

Great fight between Coxe and Baumgartner. Per usual with Coxe there is very little in the way of clutching and grabbing, so the punches are landing early and often in this one. Coxe is going mostly with the right, and Baumgartner is changing hands throughout, usually making the change when it looks like Coxe is about to get a decided advantage. Baumgartner makes the first attempt at a takedown, which is blocked by Coxe and the punches continue. Eventually, Baumgartner goes for another one and Coxe reverses it and lands on top. Like most reviewers, I see this as a draw because they were both throwing and landing close to an even amount of punches, but unlike most if forced to choose a winner I would have gone with Coxe due to the fact that he was the one still wanting to throw and he did end up on top after the wrestling match concluded their fight.

This was a good fight with sustained action. The Bomber missed a left and landed a solid connect. He landed a partial connect and missed a punch. Coxe landed an average blow and missed a couple of punches. He landed three consecutive solid blows and built up an early lead. He missed a punch and landed a solid blow.

Baumgartner came back and landed a couple of solid shots. He missed a couple of punches. Coxe missed a blow, landed a solid connect, and missed a couple of punches. Ken missed a couple of shots and landed a pretty good left hook. He followed up with a partial connect.

Bomber landed a decent right, missed a punch, and landed another decent blow. Craig missed with a left hook. The men wrestled for a spell. Ken missed a left and connected with a decent right. He missed with a left. Coxe landed a decent left and missed a punch. The men resumed wrestling and Baumgartner shoved his forearm in Craig's face. Coxe pushed down his weight on Ken's torso and took his man down.

I rate this fight as a draw. Coxe landed several effective punches in the first third of the bout. Baumgartner landed several effective blows in the second third of the fight. The final third of the contest featured a lot of wrestling with an occasional decent shot. This was a good action fight, especially the first fifteen seconds of the contest.

Ken Baumgartner narrow win Fun

Ken Baumgartner and Craig Coxe drop their gloves and square off with one another. Baumgartner moves in and misses a left, then Coxe misses a right. Coxe misses another right as Baumgartner lands a left and they get a hold on each others' jerseys at that point. Baumgartner lands two lefts as Coxe throws two rights and lands one. Coxe throws two rights and lands one again as Baumgartner lands another two lefts, one sending Coxe's helmet flying off. Baumgartner misses a left before Coxe connects with a right and Baumgartner switches hands. Baumgartner lands a right as Coxe misses a right but then Coxe lands a right as Baumgartner misses a right. Coxe misses two rights while Baumgartner misses two rights and Baumgartner switches hands and loses his hold on Coxe's jersey. Coxe misses two rights as Baumgartner gets his hold of Coxe's jersey back and then Baumgartner lands a left while Coxe lands a right. Baumgartner lands a left and Coxe lowers his head and gets in tight. Baumgartner switches hands while they wrestle and throws three rights, landing one. Coxe gets his head up and switches hands. Coxe misses a left and Baumgartner switches hands and lands a left as Coxe stays in tight. They wrestle and Coxe gets Baumgartner bent over but Baumgarner stays up and then switches hands. Baumgartner connects with a right and then switches hands while Coxe stands back. Coxe lands a left while Baumgartner lands a left and then Baumgartner misses a left. Baumgartner loses his hold of Coxe's jersey again and lowers his head. Coxe misses a left as Baumgartner buries his head in Coxe's chest and gets in tight. They wrestle and Baumgartner shoves Coxe's face back, getting him bent over. They both go to a knee and when they get up, Coxe wrestles Baumgartner down. Really good fight. They were swinging away for most of the fight and although it somewhat slowed down late as they got in tight and wrestled, there were a ton of bombs thrown and more than a couple connecting. Edge Baumgartner in my book. Baumgartner was slightly more active and more accurate than Coxe was.

Good scrap between Coxe and a young Baumgartner. Once again Coxe gives us an action-packed fight. Both guys exchange a lot of punches with each other. Coxe mostly rights and Baumgartner switches throughout the fight between rights and lefts. Towards the end of the fight they both wrestled with each other, trying to get the other one down. Finally Coxe was successful with the takedown. A very close fight as both did well. Coxe showed nice balance here as he refused to give in. Bomber fought quite smartly and came away with a draw.

Bombs away. Not much defense in this one, as both guys land vicious shots at will. Hard to really give an edge here, there's so many good shots being landed.

Plenty of missed swings by both but both guys kept pace with one another since they matched one another tit for tat in the facialpunch category. Baumgartner then tries to wrestle Coxe down but Coxe turns the tables on him by maneuvering well so that he is on top. Nevertheless, the total punch-count was even for both guys, so this results in a draw.

Very good fight, Coxe has a slight lead after the 1st half on the strength of several rights but Baumgartner really takes over the 2nd half landing some big shots of his own, Coxe lands a couple very late making this a hard fought draw.

This was a pretty good scrap. Sutter missed a left hand. Sykes missed a shot and landed a solid blow. He missed a punch and landed a decent right. Rich landed a solid connect and missed a couple of punches. He landed a solid left.

Phil missed a blow and landed an average shot. Sutter missed a punch, landed an average connect, and missed a shot. Sykes missed a blow, landed an average connect, and missed two punches. The refs stopped the fight.

I rate this as a draw. Both men landed a handful of punches and with some pop. Sutter may have had the slight edge in power, but I don't think it was significant enough to earn the win. Sykes landed some nice ones of his own.

Not sure what may have started this one, the referee was in the midst of calling a penalty when Sykes and Sutter start throwing punches. Both are roughly the same size and this quickly turns into a wild, open fight with little thought to defense. Sutter's throwing hard with his lefts and Sykes is answering back with rights, both guys going toe-too-toe. Sutter then lands a huge bomb on Sykes, and right when you think Sykes might be finished, he answers back with a shot of his own that snaps Sutter's head back. Both guys then slip and fall to the ice, and the linesmen are quick to break them up. Like the commentator, Jim Robson, was saying, this might have been an edge to Sutter, but I thought Sykes answered back pretty well to even things up. Draw in a solid fight.

Decent fight action wise with both guys throwing a lot of blows and a bit of toe to toe, each guy landed 3-4 blows with a couple of power shots each so it's a draw.

Hardy and Lowry had a pretty good scrap. Mark landed an average right. Dave missed a few punches and landed an average shot. Hardy missed two left hands. Lowry missed a punch and landed two decent blows. He missed a couple of rights. Mark missed a punch and landed a pretty good blow as Lowry was slipping back on his heels.

I rate this as a clear win for Hardy. Mark landed a powerful shot at the end. In my opinion, Lowry was losing his balance just before the punch connected. I think it was a clear win because he put some hurt on Lowry.

In open ice, they begin to tangle when Hardy doesn't like the roughing used by Lowry when he swipes at him with his gloved hand. Lowry throws about 3 cock-eyed swings that didn't land. Hardy then shoves Lowry causing Lowry to fall to the ice and then that's when Hardy lands 1 grazing head-shot. Hardy falls on top of him followed by the refs who mix in. Narrow win for Hardy.

Both battle from in tight, Lowry is a bit busier but it's close with blows landed until Hardy lands a right that sends Lowry to the ice ending the bout. I'm going TKO, while it's hard to tell how well the punch landed it appeared to me that Lowry was okay and trading blows before it was thrown so a punch did indeed drop Lowry.

Dean Kennedy narrow win Fun

Kennedy and Coxe started out on the outside. The men worked their way on the inside and Craig wound up with a right hand. Dean caught the blow in mid-air. Kennedy landed a decent right and missed a punch.

Dean had firm hold of Craig's right hand. Kennedy landed a couple of decent rights and missed a punch. Coxe landed a partial connect and missed a punch. Dean landed a decent blow. He missed with an uppercut. Craig landed a grazing left hand and missed a punch. He was getting frustrated and hauled Kennedy to the ice.

I rate this as a narrow win for Kennedy. He fought his fight on the inside. He was able to neutralize the offense of Coxe and landed a smattering of occasional decent rights. It was enough to secure an impressive win. The fight was far from crowd-pleasing, but Dean brilliantly executed his fight plan.

Dean Kennedy clear win Fun

There is a scrum going on beside the Vancouver net. Meanwhile away from it all, Craig Coxe and Dean Kennedy have dropped the gloves. They have a cool squareoff, looking like two boxers (which the announcers mention). Kennedy takes a swing at Coxe but misses. Coxe misses with a right and the two men get in close. Coxe misses with a punch and Kennedy gets in two short rights. Kennedy then proceeds to land three rights to the face as well as one to the side of the head. Coxe tries to answer but he fails to connect with two rights. Kennedy lands a right and they get in tight. Coxe tries to go with the left but he is unable to get any punches in. The two men wrestle each other down to the ice, falling over top of one another and the officials break them up.

Kennedy landed all of the punches in the fight and Coxe failed to land any. Therefore Kennedy skates away with the clear win here.

They set up to square off in open ice after the whistle. Kennedy lands 2 or 3 facial-punches followed by static on the viewing screen that lasts 3 seconds, so nothing is seen in that interval of time. Coxe was impeded by Kennedy's grappling, so he hardly landed ... at best, he may have landed 1 marginal facial-punch. Narrow to clear win for Kennedy.

Good technical showing by Kennedy as he ties Coxe up negating much of his offense while slipping in some quick rights here and there adding up to a narrow win for Kennedy.
