Ken Baumgartner clear win Fun
4
Rod Buskas picks up the puck in corner and turns to a check from Paul Fenton. Ken Baumgartner comes in and hits Buskas from behind and when Buskas gets up, he goes right after Baumgartner who is called for a penalty on the play. Baumgartner and Buskas drop the gloves and grab onto each others' jerseys with the right hand in close. Buskas misses a left and Baumgartner misses a left before Buskas throws two lefts and lands one. Baumgartner throws two lefts and lands one, then misses a left and lands a right to the body as Buskas lands two lefts to the body. They wrestle and Baumgartner gets Buskas bent over before landing a right. They wrestle around and go into the boards with Baumgartner pushing on Buskas' helmet but isn't able to get it off. They get off the boards and Baumgartner gets Buskas bent over again and lands three rights, knocking Buskas' helmet off and sending him to his knees. The linesmen jump in right away and Buskas skates off the ice bloodied. Pretty dull scrap but a clear win for Baumgartner. There wasn't much going for either early on but after some wrestling, Baumgartner landed a few rights and they were good ones. Buskas ended up bloodied in this one too.

Ken Baumgartner narrow win Fun
3
Ken Baumgartner and Rod Buskas go at it in the corner. The two get in tight and wrestle. Both men throw a few punches but they are only harmless body shots. Toward the end of the fight, Baumgartner is able to get a right punch in. The punch knocks off Buskas' helmet and cuts him. The two men then wrestle down to the ice.

Baumgartner gets the win for landing the only clean shot and it cut open Buskas.

Buskas got drilled from behind by the Bomber and he went right after him. Rod missed a punch, landed a partial connect, and missed a shot. Ken landed a couple of blows to the body. Rod landed a couple of body shots. Baumgartner missed a punch and landed a right to the body.

The Bomber shoved his arm in Rod's face. The men were wrestling on the inside and Ken was getting the better of it. Buskas missed a left hand. Baumgartner landed an average right and a solid shot as Rod began to slump to his knees.

I rate this as a narrow win for Baumgartner. He landed with enough effectiveness at the end to earn the victory. He bloodied Buskas a bit in the process. This wasn't pretty, but the Bomber got the job done.

Baumgartner landed more blows and with more impact in the early exchange before it became a wrestling match, win to Baumgartner.

Dan Frawley hipchecks Ken Baumgartner as he gets a loose puck and then skates away after Baumgartner gets up and shoves at Frawley. Frawley comes in again and this time shoulders Baumgartner against the boards. Baumgartner doesn't like it and after shoving Frawley to the ice, drops the gloves to go but Frawley refuses. Frawley keeps his stick up pointed at Baumgartner who soon skates away and is taken to the box as Dan Quinn and Ken Hammond get between the two. Small battle between these two tough guys here but Frawley didn't want to go with Baumgartner at all. However as Baumgartner is sent to the box, Hammond goes after Frawley and they have a fast fight. Fun

This fight came after Frawley refused to fight Ken Baumgartner. Ken dropped his gloves, but Dan pointed his stick at Bomber like a whaler about to harpoon the largest of all mammals on earth. Hammond had a quick bout with Frawley after Baumgartner was penalized. This was a short, uneventful scrap that was too close to call.Reply

Randy Cunneyworth narrow win Fun
6
This was a pretty good fight. Kennedy landed a body punch and missed a punch. Cunneyworth missed a punch and landed a couple of solid rights. Dean landed a solid left and landed a decent blow. Randy missed a couple of punches and landed a body blow.

Kennedy was able to tie up Cunneyworth's hand for a time. Dean landed a couple of decent blows and an average connect. Randy landed an average left and missed a right. Kennedy landed a decent right. Cunneyworth landed a solid blow at the end.

It was a close and competitive contest. I think Cunneyworth had a slim edge because his shots appeared to be more powerful. Kennedy may have actually landed one or two more blows, but his punches were more decent to average connects on the inside. I think the quality of Randy's punches beat out the quantity of Kennedy's blows on this occasion.

Dean Kennedy goes for a hit on Randy Cunneyworth but Cunneyworth ducks onto his knees, upending Kennedy. Kennedy's upset and gets up with Cunneyworth and they're fast to drop the gloves and grab hold of each other. Cunneyworth gets in tight on the bigger Kennedy who throws two rights and lands one before trying to get it off Cunneyworth's head. They wrestle and Kennedy throws three rights, landing one more before Cunneyworth lands two rights. Kennedy pauses to adjust his grip and then misses a right while Cunneyworth lands a right. Cunneyworth misses a right and then Kennedy lands a right while pushing Cunneyworth against the glass. Cunneyworth grabs Kennedy's leg to back him off and then lets go, missing a right as Kennedy misses a right as well. Kennedy lands a right as Cunneyworth tries to wrestle Kennedy off balance, then Cunneyworth misses a right while Kennedy lands a right. Kennedy throws two rights and lands one as they wrestle and Cunneyworth misses a right. Kennedy switches hands and then lands a left before landing a left while Cunneyworth lands a right. Kennedy misses a left and Cunneyworth switches hands as well, missing a left before pushing Kennedy against the glass. Cunneyworth switches hands and misses a right, then Kennedy gets off the boards and switches hands as well. Kennedy throws four rights and lands two as they wrestle but then Cunneyworth stands back suddenly, getting Kennedy turned around. Cunneyworth misses two rights and falls off balance, Kennedy wrestles Cunneyworth to the ice, and the linesmen come in. Lengthy tilt here with both guys landing punches amidst a lot of wrestling. I call it draw. Kennedy was more active and landed more punches but nothing really caught Cunneyworth too well while Cunneyworth landed a couple decent punches and bloodied Kennedy's nose in the process.

Really good scrap between Randy Cunneyworth and Dean Kennedy, who ends up with a bloody nose. Cunneyworth blasts him along the end boards right at the whistle and they immediately go at it.

This wasn't decisive, they both tumbled down in the end. Kennedy on top of Cunneyworth.Reply

Agree to disagree. It was an even fight until Cunneyworth clocked him at the the end. I don't think who falls on whom at the end really has anything to do with winning or losingReply

According to our rules, the loser must end up in a hopeless sutuation for a Decisive win. Would you say that Cunneyworth ended up in a hopeless sutuation?Reply

Sorry, didn't know that. I think Cunneyworth won the fight, and Dean Kennedy lost the fight (he was bloodied too), but it definitely was not a hopeless situation.Reply
