Samuel Duplain narrow win Fun

Real long square-off before going at it. They tangled together as Duplain landed three lefts as he fell over Verreault. Typical Duplain fight but it's effective.

Lessard and Shantz drop their gloves right off the draw and they remove their helmets. They start shadowboxing at center ice and they take a fair amount of time to study each other. They then finally come together but neither seem interested in throwing punches at first as they battle for a comfortable position for seventeen seconds. Then Lessard gets active; he misses three rights and Shantz answers by missing a left. They both miss another shot and Lessard misses an uppercut and a short right. They take a little pause and Lessard misses another uppercut and lands two short lefts before missing a third one. They both miss a left uppercut and Shantz misses two more lefts before Lessard lands two soft lefts. Shantz misses two lefts and Lessard misses a left before Shantz misses two lefts and Lessard misses a left and lands a weak blow. Lessard misses three more lefts and they then both miss a left. Shantz misses a left and lands a partial blow before Lessard lands a partial shot of his own. Shantz misses a left, Lessard lands a weak left and misses another one before misses a left and lands a partial blow. Lessard misses a left and lands a weak one and the two fighters miss a shot before Lessard misses another one. Shantz lands a partial blow and Lessard misses a left and Shantz lands two okay lefts before Lessard lands two partial blows. Lessard lands a weak right and misses a final left before a linesman get in between the two tired scrappers. The fight is over and the two fighters go on to their respective penalty boxes.

This was a very long fight but with some moments of inaction, and not a whole lot of punches were thrown from long range. Lessard landed a tad more punches than his opponent Shantz, but he did not do a lot of damage on him and I feel like both did the same amount of damage on one another. Therefore, I rate this fight as a draw. Give this fight a 6 because of its lenght and for some short moments of toe-to-toe action.

Really long fight between two fighters that were in another fight together. They both had their moments. Lessard may have landed more punches but I will have to look at the video again.

Guillaume Coude-Tremblay clear win Fun

Coude-Tremblay hurt Lariviere several times in this fight, especially at the beginning when he surprised Lariviere with lefts. He landed a couple left uppercuts. Lariviere couldn't get it going at all and left the rink with a bloody nose.

I will have to review this one because a lot of thing happened on the sequence. We had a faceoff where invitations were distributed without dropping the gloves. Then, the play came near the Thetford net and we had a scuffling going on. Lessard dropped the gloves with Duplain as Samuel Verreault wanted to go at it with Paul Shantz. Verreault even threw one of his glove in Shantz's face. A rare spirited scrap for Duplain who landed several rights on Lessard. Lessard ended the fight well with a fury of rights and a nice takedown on Duplain.

EDIT: After reviewing the video, I can't find a winner in this one. Duplain landed as much punches as Lessard in this one.

With another faceoff, Verreault was lining again face to face with Shantz who surprisingly didn't want any piece of Verreault. Coude-Tremblay wanted to go again with Lariviere. They were lining face to face against with Coude-Tremblay insisting to go. Lariviere quickly dropped the gloves and sticked to Coude-Tremblay. Coude-Tremblay tried a couple of rights as they quickly tangled in the side boards. Lariviere clearly didn't want any part of Coude-Tremblay after he got beaten solidly in the first tilt.

A fight in the rink around the ice happened right next to the Lariviere-Coude-Tremblay fight. I don't know what happened to spark this up, but punches were flying everywhere with at least four individuals going at it. Two guys came across me behing escorted by security outside of the arena and both had cuts and one had a bloody nose.

During this fight, Thetford coach had an argument with some fans with beer glasses throwing at him. Lots of thrash talk from the Thetford bench, especially from defenseman Guillaume Letourneau, and some fans were ejected from the arena as well.
