The puck is chipped up the boards where Chris Nilan is so Nilan moves to play the puck and get it out of the zone. Nilan doesn't see Wally Weir pinch in from the point though. As Nilan turns and moves the puck out, he's flattened with a full bodycheck from Weir. Weir steps back so Nilan gets up and drops the gloves with Weir. Fun

Chris Nilan clear win Fun

Nilan and Weir threw punches with bad intentions in this fight. Chris landed a decent left hook. Wally landed a decent left of his own. Nilan landed a decent uppercut and right hook combination. He missed a punch, landed a solid blow, missed a punch, and landed another solid connect.

Weir landed a solid right and missed a punch. Chris landed a solid uppercut. Wally missed a punch and landed a decent right. Nilan missed a couple of punches and landed a partial connect. Chris landed a left handed partial connect and a pretty good right as the refs were stepping in to stop the contest.

I rate this as a clear win for Nilan. He landed three or four more punches than Weir. His blows had better pop. Chris landed a few solid blows and a pretty good punch at the conclusion of the fight. He put some hurt on Wally in this encounter.

Chris Nilan doesn't like the hit he takes from Wally Weir, gets up, and drops the gloves with him right after. The two come together in tight and Nilan misses two rights and Weir misses a left narrowly. They pause, both trying to hold each others' heads down, and then Nilan lands a weak left that loosens Weir's helmet. Weir misses a left that sends his helmet off and then they open up a little bit. Nilan misses a right while Weir misses a right, then they both land rights simultaneously and Nilan lands a right while getting his head up. However Weir gets his head up and pulls Nilan's head back down although Nilan throws two more rights and lands one. Weir stands back partially and then misses a right while Nilan lands a right and gets his head up. Weir gets in close and they pause once more. Nilan misses a right, then lands a right as Weir lands a right. Nilan misses a right as they open back up, then they miss rights simultaneously though Weir lands a soft right afterwards. Weir stays in close and then puts his head down as Nilan lands a right and they then grapple. Weir gets his head up as Nilan stands back during a pause and the linesmen try to step in. Nilan wants to keep going though, missing a left but landing a right before the fight is halted. Alright scrap with Nilan getting the better of it.

Nilan and Weir fight at close quarters and Nilan is the busier puncher throwing some decent rights that connect. Weir comes back and throws a few rights too. Nilan throws 3 more, the last one more of an open hand to Weir's face before they're broken up.

Video begins with these two already engaged. Nilan was a bit more active with the swings than Weir was. Weir concentrated too much on keeping his face in close to Nilan in trying to minimize the effects of punches by Nilan. Weir does eventually take his head out of the sand to land 2 facialpunches in total but it's not enough as Nilan scored with 4 facialpunches in total. Clear win for Nilan.

Torrie Robertson sets up a screen in front of Doug Soetaert and Soetaert doesn't like it. Soetaert takes a one-handed hack at Robertson's leg, then throws a gloved punch at him, trying to get him out of the crease after a point shot goes wide. Robertson takes exception and goes back at Soetaert, drawing Larry Robinson in. Robinson grabs Robertson from behind as Robertson grabs hold of Soetaert and they all wrestle to the ice with Soetaert on the bottom and Robinson on top. The linesmen charge in to break it up quickly, first prying Robinson off of Robertson and then Robertson off of Soetaert. Fun

Soetaert gave Robertson a whack, so Torrie took exception and went after Soetaert. Robinson jumps on Robertson's back, and the 3 players fall to the ice. Soetaert and Robertson both drop the gloves when on the ice, but nothing is thrown. Fun

There's a very physical shift late in the first period with bodies flying and several runs being taken. First Pierre Mondou comes across the ice looking for a hit on Pat Boutette but Boutette gets out of the way just in and winds up upending Mondou who goes to the ice. Mondou gets up while Lucien DeBlois and Dave Lumley come together roughly and wind up going into the boards and down to the ice, allowing Boutette to pick up the loose puck. Mondou comes in high on Boutette with the elbow way up and out but again just misses the hit and going tumbling into Lumley, taking him out. Mondou then gets up and approaches Boutette again and they decide to settle things. Mondou and Boutette drop the gloves and get in tight where Mondou throws three rights, landing one. Boutette lands a right, then Mondou misses a right before pausing briefly. Mondou then misses a right and Boutette misses a right afterwards and stands back. Boutette misses a right while Mondou misses a right, then Mondou lands a right while Boutette misses a right but then Boutette throws two rights and lands one as Mondou gets back in tight. They wrestle and Boutette lowers his head while trying to get loose but Mondou keeps Boutette corralled and the linesmen come in to break it up. Not a great fight but they each got in a couple of punches after a pretty rough, chippy, shift. Draw.

Torrie Robertson and Chris Nilan get tangled up right off a draw and it doesn't take long for the gloves to drop. Nilan and Robertson grab on in close quarters and Robertson misses two rights. They wrestle for a bit and then Robertson lands a right before missing a right while Nilan lands a right. They keep wrestling but Nilan lands a right and then misses a left, almost getting free from Robertson afterwards. Robertson does well to stay in close quarters though and gets Nilan's head down. Nilan then misses two rights before Robertson misses a right and Nilan tries to get free again. Nilan misses two rights that unbalance Robertson and they wrestle to the ice then. Robertson gets on top of Nilan but the linesmen jump in and break it up fast. Dull heavyweight fight and a draw.

Ron Flockhart and Mark Paterson drop the gloves and square off in the game's fourth fight. Flockhart reaches in with the left but then ducks his head, burying it into Paterson's chest as they come together in close. Paterson trie to reach over on Flockhart to get a good grip but Flockhart grabs Paterson's pants, lifting him way up off the ice and throwing him down hard. The linesmen step right in and break it up. No punches thrown and it was over in seconds but a pretty big takedown by Flockhart nonetheless.
