Ryan Walter is going up the ice when he receives a pass just before the blue line. Unfortunately for Walter, he can't slow up and a teammate is offside. The call is made just as Walter crosses the blueline but that's just when Ed Hospodar steps up. Hospodar drills Walter with a shoulder to shoulder hit as Walter tries to step aside from the incoming hit. The hit puts Walter on the ice and the linesmen come in to make sure nothing happens afterward. Good hit by Hospodar. Fun

This was a prolonged bout with good action. Brown landed a couple of decent left hooks and missed a couple of punches. Nilan landed a solid right and missed a shot. He landed a solid left and missed a punch. Dave missed a punch and landed a solid connect. He missed a punch and landed a solid connect.

Chris missed a punch and landed a couple of solid rights. Brown landed a decent connect and missed a shot. He landed a solid blow and missed a punch. He landed a couple of body shots.

Nilan missed with a left and landed a partially connecting right. He landed an average left hand. Brown landed an average left and missed a blow. Chris landed a decent left. Dave responded with a decent left of his own.

The men began to wrestle for a time. An official stepped in for a second, but they men did not want a stoppage and they resumed punching. The official backed off and let them go. Brown landed a solid left. Nilan missed with a couple of punches.

Chris landed a decent blow and a partial connect. He landed an average left hand. Brown got his left hand loose for the final time. He landed a solid blow, a pretty good shot, and a good punch to the head. Nilan slumped to the ice and the refs called a halt to the proceedings.

I rate this as a decisive win for Brown. The bout was closely contested until the end. Dave landed some very effective shots at the end. Nilan was in some trouble and slumped to the ice. I hesitate to call it a TKO because Nilan's balance was compromised before he went down. He was in trouble at the conclusion, so I think a decisive win is the right call.

Dave Brown decisive win Fun

A save stops play and Dave Brown meets up with Chris Nilan during the stoppage. They face each other and drop the gloves, both grabbing on and getting in tight. Brown throws six small lefts and and lands four before Nilan lands a good over the top right to the face. Brown lands a left over the top off the helmet and then connects with a left underneath while Nilan misses a right and ducks. Brown misses two lefts and Nilan then lands a left to the head. Brown lands a left to the helmet that knocks it loose but Nilan connects with an overhand left weakly across the face. Brown then throws two lefts and lands one to the head as Nilan ducks again. Brown pauses but throws two lefts and lands one as Nilan opens up and misses a right. Nilan opens back up with a missing overhand right as Brown lands a good left to the face and Brown misses a left afterwards. Then Nilan opens up yet again and lands a right but misses a right while Brown connects on a left underneath. Brown throws four lefts and lands one as Nilan ducks again. Nilan misses a left over the top but then lands a right over the top as his helmet gets knocked off. Nilan then throws two lefts and connects on one before Brown throws three lefts and lands one. Brown keeps in tight and Nilan lands a left to the head. Brown misses a left underneath and they wrestle. Nilan misses a left but then opens up with a landing overhand right to the face. Brown stands back and lands an overhand left to the head as Nilan connects with a right and then Brown misses a left that's blocked by Nilan while Nilan gets back in tight and ducks. They resume wrestling and then Nilan lands two rights and then lands a weak left that knocks Brown's helmet off. Brown stands back though and throws five lefts from underneath, landing two as Nilan loses his hold of Brown and goes to the ice ducking. The linesmen hurry in to break it up and stop the fight there. Very good fight between two of the better heavyweights in the league. Nilan stood in there really well with Brown and got the best of him at some points. They each landed many decent punches and both connected plenty of times. However Nilan got himself in a bad position at the end of the fight and Brown took advantage, forcing the linesmen to come in and stop the fight.

This was an excellent tilt and a lengthy one between two of the best fighters in the NHL. Brown lands two short lefts while having his arm partially tied up by Nilan. Nilan suddenly lets go of Brown's left to tag him with a right, as Brown also connects with a left. Brown misses with two more lefts, only to be tagged by a left from Nilan. Nilan misses with a followup while Brown tosses two lefts, landing one. Brown lands a left and misses with a left. Nilan scores with another right and Brown connects with two more blows. Nilan connects with two rights while Brown scores with two lefts. Brown tosses a few to the body as Nilan pulls in tight with his bigger opponent.

Nilan attempts a left that fails to connect. He lands a right, has his helmet fall off, and switches to the left, connecting with another punch. Both men land a left and Brown connects with a followup. The two men hang onto each other as they tire a bit but they aren't finished yet. Nilan tags Brown with two rights while Brown lands a left hand. The two men spin around as they wrestle. Nilan lands two rights as well as a left, knocking Brown's helmet off. Brown fires right back, tagging Nilan with three lefts. Nilan is in trouble, as he is ducking down and he goes to the ice. Brown hits him with one more shot before the officials jump in.

These two warriors let it all hang out here. Both men deserve credit for their performance as they both held their own and hung in there very well. However, at the very end, Nilan was in a bad spot. He covered up and was being pounded by Brown so Brown gets the decisive win in a fight where the verdict was determined at the very end.

Nilan does well here and lands his fair share of punches. But Brown took over in the end and gave it to Nilan.

Not a narrow win, I don't know what that guy watched. Anyway, it was a pretty long fight with Brown landing the better punches on Nilan, and in the end Brown gets Nilan down and pounds on him. Decisive win, no doubt.

Ed Hospodar bumps Guy Carbonneau after a whistle and they both go to the ice. When Hospodar gets up, he's met by Mark Hunter and Hospodar quickly drops the gloves. Hunter drops the gloves and grabs on with Hospodar as they try to get away from the growing crowd of players around them. Hunter almost gets Hospodar down but he keeps his feet under him and Hunter misses a weak left. Hospodar lands a weak left followed by Hunter missing a weak left and they wrestle about. Hospodar lands another weak left but Hunter gets inside afterwards and lands a left while his helmet falls off. Hospodar lands a weak left and tries to wrestle Hunter down but Hunter is able to defend against the maneuver and get Hospodar down in return. The linesmen then come in and break it up. Really boring fight. All wrestling with some weak punches thrown by both. Draw.

Tough guy Ed Hospodar bumps into checking center Guy Carbonneau after a whistle which results in both men falling to the ice. Hospodar gets up and a scrum begins. As soon as Boxcar gets back to his feet, he is shoved by Mark Hunter. Hospodar immediately drops the gloves as does Hunter. They get in very tight and do some wrestling with Hunter missing with a left. Hospodar taps Hunter on the helmet with a left. They continue to wrestle with Hunter getting a short left in and he then loses his helmet. Hospodar lands a short left himself. The two men then wrestle down to the ice where the fight is stopped.

This fight was a boring wrestling match and both men really only landed one punch apiece. I'm scoring this a draw as the two barely did anything but wrestle.

Out of a scrum these two have each other locked up and stay that way throghout the fight. Both throw a couple short punches but its mainly a wrestling match till Hunter takes Hospodar down landing on top.
Draw in a crap fight.
