Larry Playfair decisive win Fun
6
Nevin Markwart hits Phil Housley and knocks him down. His defensive partner Larry Playfair steps in to defend his teammate. Both men drop the gloves and Playfair starts swinging. Markwart starts ducking but Playfair tags him with three hard uppercuts. Markwart gets turned around and Playfair continues to pump him with rights. Seeing that he is overmatched, Mike Milbury jumps in on behalf of his teammate.

Decisive win for Playfair. He pounded Markwart to the point where Markwart's teammate Milbury had to jump in and save him.

Larry Playfair win by TKO Fun

Quick fight between Playfair and Curran. As they drop the gloves Playfair lands a good one that sends Curran down. Playfair finishes it up with a few more rights as the linesmen moved in. Curran was pouring from his nose as he skated to the box. TKO win for Playfair in this bout.

Quick fight that takes place in a faceoff circle in the Buffalo zone. Only a couple of punches thrown, but one is a straight right that drops Curran. Vintage Playfair.

Larry Playfair clear win Fun

Right off the draw in the Boston offensive zone. Curran lines up with Playfair along the boards. The puck drops and Curran rushes Playfair. Playfair sees the rush and gloves go flying. Curran has his head down and Playfair pummels Curran with 5 straight rights. The first connects as a slap of all things. The second falls short. The third is cinder block straight to Curran's nose dropping him immediately. Curran throws two more straight rights as Curran crumples to the ice.

This happened right off the draw. Perhaps Curran wanted to avenge the beating his teammate Markwart took earlier in the game. They immediately grabbed on and threw rights. It only lasted a few seconds as Playfair decked him with his 2nd right and Curran went down as a sack of potatoes. He was visibly hurt afterwards and went straight off, bleeding heavily from his nose. The replay showed that Playfair┬┤s second right hook landed flush on young Curran.

I think this is the fight that Playfair was talking about in his interview last night. He said he wasn't paying attention on the ice and Curran skated right past him and ran one of Playfair's teammates. They then slashed each other, Playfair telling him not to do that again and Curran wanted to fight him. Curran was new in the league and Playfair was shocked. Playfair then dropped him and he was bleeding like crazy. Larry said he left the game, and went in the dressing room and puked his guts out.Reply
