Zanussi faught Kevin McCarthy, who didnt fight back. Then Logan came in for retribution and Tangled with Zanussi. At the same time Hughes faught Tom McCarthy, and the other two fights happend. I think that is a logical summery, without seeing the whole thing.Reply

After getting bloodied in his battle with Glen Sharpley during this brawl, Canuck defenseman Dave Logan went to Gary Lupul's aid in Lupul's fight with Ron Zanussi, reputedly the toughest of the North Stars (according to the Vancouver Sun).

"I told the linesman (Ryan Bozak) if he didn't step in and stop it, I would," said Logan.

Vancouver lost two players for the remainder of the game as a consequence of the brawl. Logan was ejected for being the third man in the Lupul-Zanussi battle and defenseman John Hughes was ejected fo attacking the North Stars' Tom McCarthy, who didn't fight back, during the brawl.

This meant that the Canucks had to play the rest of the game (more than two periods) with only three regular defensemen. Recently acquired forward Kris Manery volunteered to play defense for the Canucks for the remainder of the game.

The Canucks later also lost forward Rick Vaive with a game misconduct for arguing with the referee too long. Canucks coach Harry Neale was less than impressed with Vaive's antics. "He'd be of help to us if he could fire the puck as well as he shoots off his mouth," said the coach in an article in the Vancouver Sun.
