| Brad Marchand has been aggravating the Vancouver Canucks throughout the game and with the Boston Bruins up by four late in the third, Marchand gets a hand up high on Christian Ehrhoff while trying to deke around him. Marchand's glove comes off and Ehrhoff goes down in the corner. A penalty's called on Marchand who touches the puck and has play stopped but Daniel Sedin is cruising in on Marchand so Marchand ducks down and upends him awkwardly into the boards. Marchand then drops his gloves as Keith Ballard comes in with his gloves off. They wrap their arms around each other and begin wrestling in tight. Ballard removes Marchand's helmet and visor and then misses a left before going down with Marchand. The two are broken up and Marchand skates off the ice dusting his hands as he passes the Canucks' bench. Not much of a fight as they just wrestled and fell down with only one punch being thrown and it was a missing left by Ballard. Draw obviously. |

| Marchand absoulutely didn't do anything wrong ... all he did was rush the puck down the side of the rink and then he pushed off the canuck defenseman to try and get around him > this does not justify ballard coming in to attack him. Both guys just fall to the ice anyway while the canucks put on a crybaby-show of complaining about NOTHING. |

Jun 9, 2011 12:12 ET | Vancouver has a power play late in the game. Agitator Alex Burrows is trying to set up a screen in front of Boston goaltender Tim Thomas. While doing this, Burrows chops the goal stick out of Thomas' hands. Thomas picks up his stick and is furious. Thomas gives Burrows a hard whack in the legs with his stick. Burrows turns around and starts pushing Thomas. The two mix it up and start swinging. Defenseman Dennis Seidenberg comes in and grabs Burrows. He wrestles him to the ice as a crowd gathers.
I give Thomas credit. He has not let anyone get into his crease area and has defended his turf. There are several punks on Vancouver like Burrows that have tried to get in Thomas' head but he has not only been unaffected, he has dished it out right back at Vancouver. | Fun

Daniel Sedin is behind the net and as Thomas is busy looking at Sedin, Burrows knocks Thomas' stick out of his hands with a slash. Thomas picks up his stick and is not happy so he gives Burrows a huge slash to the leg. Burrows quickly turns around and gives Thomas a cross check. Thomas drops his stick and begins throwing punches at Burrows while Dennis Seidenberg grabs onto Burrows. On his way down to the ice, Burrows knocks Thomas' helmet off before hitting the ice hard as a scrum starts.
Great battle between these two. Burrows saw that Thomas was distracted and tried to put Thomas at a disadvantage. Luckily for Thomas no harm was done but he was mad at Burrows. After Thomas' slash, Burrows was quite annoyed as well and went after Thomas. The two probably would have fought had Seidenberg not hauled Burrows down.
Lots of passion and spirit from both players in this battle. | Fun
