Maxim Lapierre is in the middle of the ice when he passes the puck off to the side. Doug Murray sees Lapierre moving down the middle and steps into him, planting a big shoulder hit right into Lapierre's head and chest. Lapierre goes down and a mini-brawl ensues as Lapierre goes after Murray but ends up with Dan Boyle while Antoine Roussel drops the gloves with Murray. Good, clean, hit by Murray. Fun

Doug Murray steps up with a hit on Maxim Lapierre after he passes the puck off and Lapierre gets up and gets his stick on Murray. Murray's defense partner, Dan Boyle shoves Lapierre who goes back at Boyle. Murray tries to come in but Lapierre's teammate, Antoine Roussel skates in and grabs Murray. Boyle grabs Lapierre and drops the gloves, pulling him down. A linesman comes in and then Boyle starts punching while Lapierre just gets his mitts off. Meanwhile, Murray and Roussel start to go and have a relatively uneventful scrap along the halfboards with Murray getting the edge. Fun

Dan Boyle and Maxim Lapierre get into it and while Doug Murray tries to get involved, Antoine Roussel comes in and separates Murray from Lapierre. Boyle still gets Lapierre down though and drops the gloves while a linesmen hurries in. Boyle throws two rights, landing one as Lapierre drops his gloves and gets up. Once he's up, another linesman comes in and they stop the fight. Awful fight with Boyle throwing a couple punches while Lapierre was down and didn't have his gloves off.

This should be classified as a fight because Boyle threw some punches and had the gloves dropped. The refs moved in really fast tho.

Doug Murray clear win Fun

Antoine Roussel grabs Doug Murray since he and Dan Boyle are into it with Maxim Lapierre. Roussel and Murray move to the boards away from Boyle and Lapierre and they wrestle in close. Murray throws two rights and lands one before Roussel shakes off his right glove and prods Murray with the left. Murray then connects with another right and Roussel misses two rights, having trouble getting loose from the much bigger Murray. Murray lands a right and then knocks Roussel's helmet and visor off before connecting on another right. Roussel pulls the jersey up in front of Murray's face and throws three rights, landing one weakly. Then Murray throws five rights, landing two while keeping Roussel against the boards as Roussel just keeps the jersey in front of Murray's face while turning away. They get right in tight then and Murray throws four rights, connecting with three while taking Roussel down to the ice. Win Murray as he landed more and better punches and had control of the fight. Credit to Roussel for stepping in for his teammate against the bigger and older Murray.

Doug Murray narrow win Fun

The big chunky Swede against the scrawny frenchie, right after the first fight near the boards they drop them and stay there the whole fight, Roussel likely seeking support from the boards with his back against the glass while Murray throws and semi-lands several big clumsy rights on the top of Roussel's helmet who hangs in there bravely looking a little like a lesser Rick Rypien in the Canuck jersey, even sneaking one sharp right midway through until Murray snatches his lid off and with two more lumbering rights from him they go down together in a perfectly respectable little scrum-born bout.

Doug Murray narrow win Fun

The play before I believe it was Murray sent Volpatti into the boards. So Lapierre took exception and went after Murray the next play and there was a little bit of a scrum with Lapierre, Roussel, Murray, and Boyle. Murray and Roussel get seperated and square off. Murray being the bigger of the two manhandled Roussel who ended up getting 1 or 2 in of his own. I got to watch this again.
