Whistle blows for offside when Dustin Brown already has Rozsival lined up and only a few feet away. Brown first makes contact shoulder to shoulder, but (probably because of the whistle) their slight change in positioning led to the hit being a full-side of Brown's body colliding with a full-side of Rozsival's, including leg to leg.

This was not a dirty play by Brown, just a unfortunate coincidence that occurred due to the speed of the game and the last second offsides whistle.

Brown has nowhere to go here. He clearly gets Roszival's shoulder first anyways. Could be dirty but I would just qualify this as a late hit, not a cheap shot.Reply

Disrespecting the officials. Doan was complaining and I believe Smith threw his stick in the direction of them.

This should not be a Cheap Shot, there was nothing Brown could have done to avoid contact after that offsides whistle. Hockey is a fast-paced game and that whistle was last-second... What was he supposed to do?Reply
