Scott Laughton narrow win Fun

Pancel Vs. Laughton

In the Sudbury zone these two drop the gloves and square off. They come together and Laughton lands the first right hand while Pancel misses with a responding over the top right. They once again trade right hands as it appears Laughton is connecting while Pancel is not after two right hands. Laughton then loses his bucket and fires off four more wild right hands, two of which appear to land as Laughton loses his footing and falls to the ice. Pancel attempts a right while they are down but ends up hitting the ice as the refs separate them.

Win Laughton. More punches thrown and landed.

Thibodeau Vs. Brown

They drop the gloves and grab onto each other in the neutral zone. Thibodeau fires off four right hands, none of which seem to connect while Brown also misses with two right hands. They wrestle for position as Thibodeau throws three short rights, only one seems to connect as Brown then misses with a right but connects with the follow up right hand. Both Thibodeau and Brown then trade some left jersey jabs before trading a missing simultaneous right hand. Thibodeau continues to throw as he now fires three right hands, only two land to the side/back of the head of Brown before Brown unloads with six right hands as four appear to connect. They come in tight with each other where they wrestle each other to the ice and the refs pile on and separate them.

Draw. Thibodeau early, Brown late.

Kantor Vs. Dundas

Just inside the Sudbury blue line they exchange a few words before dropping the gloves and quickly grabbing onto each other. Kantor fires off the first two right hands, only one of which seems to connect while Dundas lands two big rights that knock Kantor his knees. Kantor gets back to his feet as he then lands two nice right hands to the face of Dundas. Both Dundas and Kantor now remain at bay while spinning in a circle until both guys land one more right hand. They then lose their footing and fall to the ice where the refs pile on to separate them.

Draw. Both threw and connected with a few.

Cory Genovese win by KO Fun
10
Genovese Vs. McGuire

They drop the gloves and square off in the Sudbury zone. They come together and Genovese will miss the first right hand allowing McGuire to land two nice rights of his own. Both McGuire and Genovese then trade two simultaneous right hands, both land their punches but seems as McGuire is landing better. McGuire and Genovese then both trade seven simultaneous right hands, McGuire landing better as he is standing tall and Genovese ducking the head down throwing a bit blind. McGuire then thinks about removing the helmet from Genovese as he then lands two more right hands. Genovese comes back with a connecting right hand as well before both guys trade three more right hands, McGuire landing a right bomb with his third punch. Genovese then throws two right hands but neither appear to land before he switches hands and sneaks in two left jabs. McGuire lands one more right before Genovese switches hands and lands a right bomb that catches McGuire flush on the chin. McGuires helmet immediately dislodges and he buckles to the ice quickly where the refs pile on and he is helped to the dressing room by teammates.

Solid KO for Genovese. Awesome fight!

Genovese vs McGuire

These two drop the gloves just inside the Sudbury blue line. At the start of this fight these two go at it. Both landing some good quality shots. Right after right both landing, McGuire at the time was winning this fight until 3 straight shots landed right on the button of McGuire, causing him to fall to the ice unconscious.

Obvious KO win for Genovese.

Simply put - McGuire has control for about 90% of the fight, which was expected. Genovese gets a right in and drops McGuire cold. McGuire is on the ice, clearly unable to get up and skate on his own. KO Genovese in a shocking result.

The fight was right in front of me and Mcquire was pounding him, if Genovese didnt have a visor on he would have been a mess, then all of a sudden Genovese lands a right to the jaw of Mcguire and he's out cold. As they walk him to the bench he goes down again. Lucky punch but devastating.Reply

Say what you will about Genovese...yes he usually loses, but he also has a great fight card and has shown improvement as a fighter over last season in my opinion. Much better at using both hands, and has surprised a couple guys when he switches up mid fight. Glad to hear he's doing well for the Wolves, wish he were still a Ranger!Reply

Ha, love it! Way to go Cory! And thanks for proving my point....McGuire was winning this one, as expected, till towards the end when Genovese switched to his left and started to land a couple, which also threw McGuire off so he wasn't ready when Genovese switched again, back to the right, and landed a beauty!Reply

Funny how bent out of shape people get when their home town guy loses. Wow, get over it...happens to every fighter. Everyone's favourite has lost at one point in their career, likely badly, and likely many times if they have any career of length. My all time fav had his career ended essentially with a punch that broke his cheek bone, if that makes u feel any better Dirty's, lol.Reply

that is the most childish thing that gets said on this site, someone trashes someone like george parros and a parros fan says, "like to see you fight him" . well this is the place for fans to talk about things, i dont like chris neil but id be foolish to suggest i would fight him, i am a big brett gallant fan but i can show you lots of fights he lost when he was in junior, everyone thats anyone loses some fights man, no big dealReply

And to slime shady, George Parros is 33 years old, and a professional athlete so you can't really compare. If you guys sit on here all day and chirp players it should be fine for me to come on and chirp you right? Stick to rapping shadyReply

I'd knock the shit out of this pussy.

Kidding aside, yes he would, and he would knock you out also. But he's not fighting me and you, he's fighting in the OHL and he's been pretty bad this season if we compare with last seasons.

BTW your comment is off the rules a little bit eh?

McGuire is an awsome fighter, got beat plain and simple. Something about him has changed since he left Erie. His punching power is stille there but his stamina at the end of this one helped contribute to his guard being down and getting popped. He'll be back though, I dont see this hindering any desire to go with anyone again. Give Genovese credit he landed one solid shot.Reply

Didn't know I had a thing for Johnny...pretty sure Ive posted rarely about his fights, and usually when I do it's to back him up not rag on him, so "chirp" away if it makes you feel better. I can even recall defending him to the Mathers homers(who are just as bad as McGuire homers btw) last year when their was a big debate going on who won their fight(I said McGuire btw). Anyway, since you asked...yes please, I really would like Johnny's number, lofl!Reply

lol if i was actually "slimshady" i wouldnt give two fucks about this site because id be too busy finding ways to blow millions of dollars and i would probably just buy a hockey team full of goons just to entertain myself, but anyways besides that i dont follow ohl at all and have absolutely no idea who these two guys are so if you think i care that your boy got knocked out i dont, just stating that these guys are all on some level, professional athletes, and to suggest that someone that doesnt like them or goes against them in a review should try to fight him is just childish as hell, there are a million examples i could give you of why that is crazy but i think you understand what i am saying but for the sake of arguing i am sure you will come back with something to sayReply
