 BattleshipRules 2092 fight reviews Apr 6, 2012 11:18 ET | Dan Maloney decisive win | Fun 6 |
Selwood drew the ire of Maloney by checking him up high with his hands to the face. Dan was a combative player and it didn't take much to set him off. He immediated shoved Brad in the back of the neck. Then, the men dropped the gloves and were ready to go.
Maloney got the strategic edge by grabbing hold of Selwood's right arm with his left hand. Brad was unable to get shots off and Dan started to haul off and belt him with a series of uppercuts. Maloney nailed Selwood with nine uppercuts. Most of them were good blows that landed flush. Brad was helpless and just stood there and took a shellacking.
The officials realized that Selwood was in trouble and they stepped in to break it up. Selwood was slow to shake of the effects of the uppercuts. The referee appeared to ask him if he was OK. Brad skated off on his own power, but he was shaken up and probably embarrassed by his feeble effort in the fight.
This was a decisive win for Maloney. He dominated the fight and pounded Selwood with some good uppercuts. He landed with every shot. Brad was helpless and in a hopeless situation as the referees intervened. This was an impressive win by Maloney. He came into the NHL and quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with and a top fighter in the league. |

| Selwood hit Maloney from behind near the Chicago bench and naturally Dan did not like it one bit. He gave Selwood a little push in the back and Selwood turned around and proceeded to get absolutley pasted by a relentless barrage of right uppercuts from the legendary tough guy. Selwood just held on for dear life with his arms around Maloney's waist until the linesmen could get in there to save him. |

| Saw this on NHL classics. They meet after colliding at the boards and Maloney smokes him with a series of uppercuts. |

| Incident starts when selwood gives a head push to maloney during play by the boards. Maloney doesn't like it, so he gets selwood bent over and delivers many consecutive uppercuts totaling 8. I guess not too many of those uppercuts made full contact because selwood still had his head on while he was just standing around like nothing happened. To the observer, the general feeling is that this young guy (Maloney) is a big terror when it comes to fighting. He only partially fulfills this infamous character about himself as the years go on while in the nhl. |
