Rookie Brad Brown playing in his first NHL preseason gets into a fight with veteran scrapper Nick Kypreos. This would be a short but action packed fight. Brown tags Kypreos with four rights straight out of the gate, and Kypreos' helmet falls off. Kypreos gets his left going and he lands a left, misses with a left, and lands another left. Brown lands a right as Kypreos lands a left and they both land another punch. Kypreos gets a left in but takes three rights from Brown. Brown lands another right but Kypreos switches to his right hand. Kypreos catches Brown flush on the jaw with a big right and Brown collapses to the ice.

Brown was winning the fight until Kypreos caught him with a big right hand. Kypreos surprised Brown when he switches to the right and he caught the rookie with a good one. This was a bit of an upset. Although Kypreos was more experienced, he was a lot smaller than Brown but that didn't matter in the end.

After going toe to toe Kypreos leveled Brown with a big right (he scored some good shots with his left before).

At one point in time, Brown was winning this fight (4 facial-punches by Brown to 2 facial-punches by Kypreos), but then Kypreos sees a window open up for a second and lands a punch that flattens Brown. Tko in favor of Kypreos.
