Borderline unfair KO.

IMO, Smith deserved it. Sandlak made it obvious he wanted to go, and Smith got up and took a gloved swing at him. However, after the gloved swipe, he looked away like he wasn't expecting Sandlak to fight back. Sandlak dropped his gloves and smoked Smith with a huge right hand KO'ing him to the ice. If you don't want to fight, don't act tough.

"They just fell down while the refs tried to break it up. What is up with the fucking liney's this year though?? They're jumping into fights where punches are still being thrown. Hopefully someone gets knocked out while a ref is holding their arms back and the other guy is free. I'll bet they'll get a directive to back the fuck off if that happens."

Thats my review of a QMJHL fight from an hour ago.

Apparently the refs intervened in this fight, tied up Smith, and Sandlak KO'd him. I should try my hand at fortune telling lol.

Texas needs to get tougher. Ya they smoked Charlotte on the scoreboard. But you can not let a guy ko a much smaller player and do nothing about it. Ya I know Smith took a swipe at Sandlak but still u can not just watch.Reply

Guys don't care anymore. They play to make money while trying not to screw up their Corsi and Fenwick ratings. It's sad really. The amount of emotionless games is staggering this year.Reply

Fighting doesn't win games, neither does physicality. Sure every team need a bit of grit, but you can't expect there to fights in every game and huge scrums. Get used to it, the teams that win the cups don't have McGrattans and John Scotts in their lineup. They use SKILL and SPEED.Reply

There's a guy out cold on the ice and they're blaring music and then put Cotton Eye Joe and a dancing bear on the scoreboard. About as classless as it gets.Reply

That't not what I'm saying. You don't need a huge goon to go break someones nose, but someone on the team should be tough enough to stick up for their teammates when it matters. Even if you lose the fight or its a hug fest, its the gesture that counts.Reply
