People on this site are going to call this clean, mainly because a lot of them don't understand today's NHL rules. This was a textbook blindside hit, and deserves a fine at the very minimum.Reply

Good on Hansen. Not a noted fighter but gets killed in the trolley tracks, gets up, doesn't complain and drops the gloves where he has to. Burrows and Dorsett could've learned a lesson from Hansen tonight, that sentence shouldn't surprise me but it does.Reply

Derek Dorsett clear win Fun
4
Derek Dorsett instigates a fight with Leo Komarov, giving him a hack and then grabbing him while dropping the gloves. Dorsett stands back and throws three rights, landing two as Komarov drops the gloves too and grabs Dorsett. Komarov misses a right but then just ducks his head as Dorsett throws five more rights and lands two after. Komarov wrestles Dorsett's head down but Dorsett gets it back up, losing his helmet in the process. Dorsett throws another five rights and lands three more while Komarov just tries to wrestle Dorsett down. Dorsett pauses to dislodge Komarov's helmet and visor, throws three last rights, and lands two as the linesmen move in between them. Komarov then misses a right and the linesmen pull them apart. While being escorted off, Dorsett does some jawing with Matt Martin, who's on the bench. All Dorsett here. He clearly went after the pesky Komarov, who just held on for the most part and allowed to Dorsett to land all the punches here.

The two drop the gloves and grab a hold of each other, Komarov is just staying tight to Dorsett and all that lands are the overhand rights by Dorsett to the back of Komarov's head. Nothing major landed but still there was no question about the winner.

Alexandre Burrows speared Morgan Rielly in retaliation for a big hit Rielly threw on Jannik Hansen. Rielly went to the locker room but comes back into the game and while lining up for a faceoff, he chirps Burrows. Burrows talks back and when the puck drops Burrows goes right at Rielly and they drop the gloves. However as soon as they grab hold of each other Rielly wrestles Burrows down. Burrows clings to Rielly from the bottom, preventing Rielly from getting up or throwing a punch and the linesmen get in to break them apart. Some history built up between these two for this scrap in this heated game but it was over as soon as it began.

Matt Martin is mad after seeing Derek Dorsett go after Leo Komarov so when Troy Stecher plays the body on Martin, Martin retaliates by tackling Stecher to the ice. Martin then drops the gloves and gets Stetcher down while throwing a couple but Ryan Miller drops his gloves and rushes from his net to stand up for the young defenseman. Martin notices and grabs Miller as they wrestle to the boards with Stetcher getting up and going back after Martin. However Ben Hutton and Brandon Sutter get to Martin first along with a linesman but now everyone comes in, including Frederick Andersen. Stecher pairs off with Nikita Soshnikov and takes him down away from the pile, which breaks up into Martin and Miller with a linesman between them and Andersen grabbing Sutter, who tries to get in on Martin Marincin and Sven Baertschi. The linemen break up Martin and Miller but Martin notices Hutton paired off with Auston Matthews. Martin grabs Hutton and pulls his helmet and visor off, trying to get him away from Matthews. Matthews pulls on Hutton to break away and finally crosschecks his hand to get Hutton to let go. The linesmen pulls Martin away as Andersen and Miller share some words in the corner with everything else dying down. This was a pretty chippy game and everyone on the ice got involved in this brawl but it didn't amount to much. Martin dropped the gloves with Stecher but that fight was interrupted by Miller jumping Martin as third-man-in. No other fighting broke out and it died down without much further incident. Fun

Martin responds to Dorsett going after Komarov by going after Stretcher. Miller quickly sees what's going on and comes to his teammates defense. Shortly after everybody joins including Andersen coming down from the other end. Mostly just pushing and shoving from their but it was still fun to watch. Always great when you see the goalie coming from the other end to join in. Fun

Pretty obvious what happened here, Martin calls out Dorsett for challenging a non-fighter, and responds by fighting a non-fighter as well. Wasn't a cheap move by Martin, just sending the message.Reply

Cheap move by Martin/Babcock. Sending Martin to beat up on Stecher because Komofag got what he had coming is hardly justied! I guess that in Detroit Babcock never sent 'messages' so I guess he can be excused for his decision.Reply
