Fucking losers. Sit down, shut up, watch the fucking game. It's not all about these jackoffs, it's about the guys on the ice. Someone thinks they're bigger than the game, and it all goes downhill from there.

[Years ago, I was assaulted at a baseball game even though I wasn't even part of a scrap that broke out among a bunch of drunks. One guy in front of my group got heated because he was drunk and trying to hit on a woman who wanted no part of him. Woman's brother told the guy to behave, guy shoved the woman facefirst over the seats in front of her, brother laid down some justice on the guy. They got pulled apart, guy now thinks my group was laughing at him, he starts throwing hands at us. Hits me as well as one of my friends. We provided him with justice part 2. Ushers watched the whole thing ["watched", note, not "did their fucking jobs and evicted the guy"] and never stepped in until he started swinging at us, finally threw him out. None of the rest of us were punished, at least. I have absolutely no tolerance for fans who can't be citizens and just enjoy the damn game they paid to see.]

|"Sit down, shut up, watch the fucking game"|
Wrong. Stand up, sing and shout, watch the fucking game. Don't get me wrong, I agree 100% that it is always wrong to punch a guy like this etc. But this "sit down, shut up, and watch"-mentality just don't fit in my mind. If you want to create and improve the fan culture, you should get rid of this kind of thinking. Just saying.
Greetings from Europe

|Oh - I meant "stop yelling at each other", not "stop yelling at the players". :) Likewise, "don't go around seeking trouble", not "stand up and cheer the players." Sorry for any confusion. ^_^||Reply|

|Yeah, after posting my text I already thought I probably misunderstood your comment :D So no worries, I just would like to see more active fans in the NHL stadiums. Is there any kind of "Ultras" or any standing sections for any teams fans? |
I mean basically every team in Europe has a sector (standing sector) for their organized group of fans and most of the teams have Ultras. It would be great to see this kind of culture in NHL when there is so much bigger arenas and more people at them.

|Not that I'm aware of, sadly.||Reply|
