They square-off right in the neutral zone near center ice. Brown had a boxing stance going as he looked really intense and excited to get this fight going. On the other hand, Bonvie looked very calm and was waiting for Brown to make the first move. Then in about ten seconnds after they squared-off, Brown tried to grab onto Dennis. Bonvie surprised Brown by countering right off the bat. As Brown reached for Dennis, Bonvie was able to get inside and land a bomb of a right to the head of Brown. This punch caused Brown's helmet to fly off. They then got in really close to each other and Brown started to throw some hard right handed body shots. Bonvie responded the some rights to the gut, as well, and he also landed a hard right to the head of Brown. They then started to throw some wild punches and Brown was able to catch Bonvie and knock his helmet off. The counter punching continued as they started to throw some more big rights. Both guys were going for the head this time and started to spin in circles, while doing it. They continued to counter punch each other for a couple more seconds. Bonvie then caught Brown with a big right, which seemed to stun Brown, as he stopped punching for a second. He regained his composure and fired back two more rights. One struck Dennis in the back and the other landed on Bonvie's head. Then both tried to land a couple of uppercuts to the gut of one another. Bonvie then got away from that and landed another right. Brown responded back with a body shot. Bonvie then threw a punch and they started to counter punch each other again. Bonvie landed one more punch and the two just hung on for the first time in the fight. They both held down each other's right arm, as that was the only arm doing the work in this fight. The refs started to move closer on them, when Bonvie gave Brown two shoulder shots. The refs then broke up the fight and both warriors were sent to the penalty box.
Narrow Win for Bonvie. This was very energetic fight with lots of energy. The fight lasted nearly a minute and the two were swinging around and counter punching each other almost the entire time. I felt that Bonvie was able to landed the better punches in the fight to get the win. That includes the first punch of the fight, where Dennis surprised Brown with a right and knocked his helmet off. Brown hung in there though, after that being struck with that hard right. There was probably around forty or more punches thrown between the two, and I think a good amount of the landed not to mention some big ones that landed. This was a great, long battle here in Wilkes-Barre. |
