Those left shots by sabourin looked heavy. I'd say he gets the edge

Evan Polei narrow win Fun

I'm totally not agreeing with others here, Sabourin started fast with a flurry of lefts but only landed one good blow and one grazing blow out of it as the others were either blocked or missed, after that it was back and forth with Polei landing more and he closed strong throwing and landing the only blows down the stretch, Sabourin early but Polei with the comeback narrow win.

How do you come to an "Evan Polei clear win" conclusion? Especially, a clear win?Reply

The clear win should be pulledReply

I can see the disagreement with the "clear win" call but I think the judge is correct and it's the others who are wrong. Many are thrown off by the flurry of lefts at the start but didn't bother to watch the replay. If they had they'd see Sabourin only lands 1 clean blow and 1 grazing blow from the flurry. After that it's Polei who is on the offensive throwing and landing more the rest of the way (I came up with 4-1). I think his ruling should be reinstated, it's not the first time someone called a relatively close fight a "clear win".Reply

I'm going to have to watch this again a few more times I think. I can't pull out a narrow or anything to flip it. I still think it was Sabs with the win any way it's cut. I'll check more tmr.

Side bar. I looked at a few other reviews before I called for a pull. A lot of the users reviews are kind of left field.

I stand by my call and for what it's worth the punch stats have Polei landing more as well. Like I said I can see the disagreement with "clear win" call and don't know this user so the pull could be warranted. You guys do a great job of policing this site so it wasn't meant as a dig.Reply

I feel like you've got a pretty keen eye for these, and given the quality and quantity of your reviews, I respect the call you've made. I didn't get around to reviewing it again, so hopefully I'll have a few Minutes today to do so.Reply

Thanks for the kind words. It'd be easier to decipher good calls from wrong ones if posters would put in a few words as to how they came to their call. The only one that did said "the lefts looked heavy" and I agree they did on first view but upon watching the replay you can see only one lands "heavy" while the other was glancing at best and the rest missed.Reply

More of a wrestling match than a fight, think Torrie Robertson and you know what I mean, a couple harmless noogies land but otherwise nothing, draw.
