Rudy Poeschek narrow win Fun
3
Rudy Poeschek and Ryan VandenBussche get into a little dustup at center ice. Poeschek starts out throwing and he connects with three right hands. VandenBussche loses his helmet and the two men get in tight. Poeschek then wrestles VandenBussche down to the ice and the linesmen are in there quickly to put an end to the fight.

Poeschek landed the only punches so he gets the win here.

Poeschek lands only punches in this short battle. Then he wrestles Vandenbussche to the ice.

Bob Probert clear win Fun

Chase's last career fight in the NHL and he goes at it with Probert. They bump and decide to go. Chase gets his gloves off quicker, they grab on and Probert also gets his gloves off. Chase throws a right that misses and Probert answers with a short right that doesn't land either. Probert misses with two more rights and Chase misses with a weak right. Probert then lands a pretty good right to the side of the helmet, then another right that doesn't land that well but knocks Chase's helmet off. Probert lands one more right to the back of the head, then he pulls Chase's jersey over his head and the linesmen jump in and end the fight a little too early. Win goes to Probert who controlled this quick scrap and landed only punches.

Bob Probert and Kelly Chase collide and drop the gloves without any hesitation. Probert misses three rights in a row before Chase misses a right. Chase's helmet is then knocked off as Probert throws three rights, connecting on two. Chase misses a right and then gets jerseyed by Probert. The linesmen rush right in with Chase in a bad spot and prevent the fight from going on. This fight was over far too soon and was ended because Chase became jerseyed. Probert landed the only punches so gets the win.

In what had been a relatively docile game for a Blues-Blackhawks match, Probie evidently decided that the party needed to be livened up and went on a mini-rampage, running several Blues on one shift, and the fearless Kelly Chase went at him and said let's go. Probert is 6'3" 220 lbs. and Chase, in reality, is no more than 5'9" 185 and problably not even that tall. The Chaser is a very smart fighter and has gotten the better of bigger opponents many times, but on this night he is no match for Big Bad Bob, and in short time, Kelly is just keeping his head low and away from the long reach of Probert who is just unloading roundhouse rights, a few of which caught Chaser on the side of and back of the head, but when Chase realizes he just better duck and not worry about throwing, many of Probie's punches hit shoulder pads. A rare lopsided loss for one of the best pound-for-pound fighters to ever play in the NHL.

Just watched this fight again and it appears Probert lets up when he gets Chase's jersey over his head. He could have kept pounding away but he just kind of holds Chase off and stops throwing.Reply
