Stafford trips and falls over Perezhogin in front of the net and gives a slash to Perezhogin's back and may have caught his helmet. Perezhogin responds with a full baseball swing slash to Stafford's head. As expected, Stafford hits the ice hard and soon went into convulsions while one of Stafford's teammates goes after Perezhogin. Stafford got 20 stitches, a concussion, and lost a few teeth. Perezhogin was suspended for the rest of the playoffs and the entire 2004-05 season. He was also given 1 year probation from the Hamilton police, forced to donate $5,000 to charity, and pay for all of Stafford's medical bills. Stafford was also suspended, only for 6 games. | Emotion
