Paul MacDermid clear win Fun
4
Craig MacTavish and Paul MacDermid get into it and a referee tries to separate the two but MacDermid gets a gloved left in on MacTavish and that sets up a fight as the gloves are off right away. MacTavish just grabs on in tight as MacDermid gets his left going, throwing a series of nine lefts, landing five. MacTavish manages to work himself in close, absorbing MacDermid's punches along the way until MacTavish misse a left that MacDermid dodges. They lock up shortly thereafter and then MacDermid pulls MacTavish's head down. MacTavish misses a right and is wrestled down by MacDermid. Short scrap. Win MacDermid.

They drop the gloves and a quick fight ensues. MacDermid gets his left hand working and he lands a few nice shots to the helmetless head of MacTavish. Then they wrestle themselves to the ice. Give the win to MacDermid, he landed the only punches.

They drop the gloves and square off, but for some reason the linesmen rush in to break it up. Fun

They drop the mitts at the blue line in front of the Oilers bench. Buchy starts with a few rights that don't do any damage, Simon then starts pounding Buchberger with left after left and it looks like the fight is gonna be one sided win for Simon. But suddenly Buchy recovers and lands about 4 huge right hands to the head of Simon. Simon tries to come back with lefts, but misses with two shots. Then they wrestle for a few seconds before linesmen jump in. Great fight, Simon early, Buchberger late, I'd say a draw but wouldn't argue with a narrow win for Buchy. One of Buchberger's better performances.

Kelly Buchberger and Chris Simon drop the gloves and as they grab on, they start trading punches immediately. Buchberger throws three rights and lands one while Simon throws four lefts and lands two. Buchberger switches hands and lands a left but Simon throws eight straight lefts afterwards, landing six. Buchberger just ducks his head as he absorbs the blows, most of the shots connecting well. Simon loses his helmet while he's throwing and then Buchberger gets his head up after he switches hands. Buchberger throws five rights and lands four as Simon stops throwing and just tries to grab Buchberger. They wrestle a little as Buchberger stops throwing and Simon loses his jersey. Simon then throws two lefts and lands one as Buchberger gets his head down. They continue to wrestle and Simon misses a left before getting the smaller Buchberger down. Simon took control of the fight in the early goings but Buchberger countered strongly. Simon got in more punches but Buchberger's punches were more effective. Nice comeback by Buchberger in this good, eventful, fight. Draw.

As the camera gets there. Buchberger looks tied up, and Simon has Buchberger ducking down, and feeds him about five left uppercuts. All of a sudden Buchberger straightens up, and feeds Simon five right-handed bombs. Simon then throws a couple wild lefts that miss, and they tie up near the boards where the fight is broken up.

This was a real surprise. Buchberger often had trouble with big punching heavyweights like Simon. Kelly missed a punch and landed an average right. He landed a decent left. Chris landed an average blow and missed a couple of lefts.

Simon got his left hand working and landed seven blows in a row. He landed two pretty good shots and a good blow. He landed four consecutive solid uppercuts. Buchberger surprised everyone in the building by roaring back with four pretty good shots and an average connect. Simon missed a punch and landed a partial connect. Kelly landed a partial connect and the two wrestled until the refs stepped in.

I agree with the majority. I think this was a draw. Simon may have landed one or two punches, but Buchberger put some hurt on him in his impressive rally. Both men landed several power shots in this exciting battle.

Chris Simon started really strong. At this time, I thought that Chris Simon will give a beating to Buchberger, but he came back really well to call the fight a draw.

Buchberger is getting hammered at the beginning by the bigger Simon. But Buchberger takes the punches well and comes out with a couple bombs rocking Simon knocking off his helmet. Simon tied up with Buchy then tried to get going again but linesmen broke it up.

Solid draw, Simon landed a bit more while he was filling in Buchberger early in the fight but Buchberger without a doubt landed the best few punches late.

It was all Simon at first, he was just pummeling away. However, Buchberger comes back and lands some very good punches of his own that even up the fight. Great comeback by Buchberger against the much better fighter in Simon. Draw.

Very good fight as the two stand back and batter each other with blows the entire fight, both land a ton in a back and forth war, a well deserved draw to both men.
