Philadelphia Daily News:
"And while on the subject of hitting, there was a lot of it last night. Richie Sutter was hitting Anders Hedberg with his right hand. Lindsay Carson was hitting Mark Pavelich with his left. And Pelle Lindbergh was in the process of hitting Rangers goalie Glen Hanlon with his blocker when all hell broke loose.

Dave Maloney led the Ranger charge off the bench, the Flyers eagerly joined in, and three Rangers - Steve Richmond, Maloney, Hanlon - and three Flyers - Lindbergh, Brad Marsh and Carson - were given game misconducts late in the first period.

It started with Sutter elbowing Hedberg. Referee Terry Gregson's arm was up to call a penalty when Hedberg swung his stick in retaliation. Sutter said it was at his head, Hedberg said it was just a slash, but Sutter threw his gloves down and started pounding away.

In the meantime, Carson and Pavelich paired off. Richmond, seeing this mismatch, jumped on Carson, and Marsh, seeing a two-on-one, then jumped on Richmond.

Hanlon didn't like the way that was going, so he left the crease and jumped Marsh. Once Lindbergh, that insidious Swede, saw the other goalie getting in his licks, he went the length of the ice and started working over the entangled Hanlon.

Someone must have yelled, "Hit him with your purse, Pelle," but Lindbergh didn't have one, so he used his blocker instead. Hanlon's face was opened up for eight stitches and the first period ended 40 seconds prematurely. "

In this case, go ahead and put in the times. I also set you up to shuffle events that happened at the same time. Use the red arrows in the summary of events at the top for that.Reply

Lindsay Carson narrow win Fun
6
This was a pretty good scrap. Pavelich landed a light blow and missed a right hand. Carson landed a solid right and missed two blows. He landed a decent left. Mark landed a solid blow and an average right. He missed a shot and landed a solid right. Lindsay landed a solid blow and missed a shot. He landed an average punch and a solid left. Pavelich missed a few punches and the men clinched. The refs stopped the bout.

I rate this as a narrow win for Carson. Pavelich landed a few effective right hands. Lindsay landed a little more and a little better with the left.

Ron Sutter narrow win
Fight called Unfair by BattleshipRules on Mar 15, 2014
Reason: Too much interference by other players
 Fun

Sutter and Lindbergh were going after Glen Hanlon. The footage doesn't show what precipitated the attack. Hanlon missed a couple of lefts. Pelle grabbed Glen as the third-man-in. Sutter missed a shot, landed an average connect, and landed a solid blow. Pelle took a couple of pokes at Hanlon, but there was a swarm of players that came over and interfered.

I rate this as a narrow win for Sutter. The fight should be regarded as being unfair as Lindbergh was holding Hanlon as the punches landed.

Lindbergh was the third-man-in on the altercation between Hanlon and Sutter. Glen was a fiery red-headed goalie who often got involved in the rough play. Pelle threw a couple of rights at him, but they appeared to miss. He didn't even take his blocker off. He was successful in distracting Hanlon so Sutter could land a couple of effective shots.
