Opening face-off and all the tough guys are on the ice. These two drop the gloves and square off, but for some reason the linesmen jump in and spoil all the fun. Fun

They step out of the penaltybox after serving their unsportsmanlike conducts. One linesman is keeping an eye on them. They skate to the center ice and talk, then they start shaking their gloves and are about to drop them and square off, but then the other linesman jumps in from somewhere and gets between them, not letting them go. Both then skate to their benches. Fun

Donald Brashear clear win Fun

They're on the ice together for the third time, they drop the gloves off the face-off and this time the linesmen don't jump in. They have a good exchange, Brashear throwing lefts and landing a bunch of shots. Parker answering with rights, but Brashear clearly got in more shots. After that they get in tight. Brashear lands some shots to the back of Parker's head and in the end he loses his balance and falls down with Parker on top. Good fight, Brashear landed most of the punches, a victory for him.

Scott Parker and Donald Brashear wanted to fight off the opening faceoff but the linesmen broke them up and they both took unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. After they're served Brashear and Parker line up for another faceoff and they still want to go. The gloves are dropped and the linesmen stay out as Brashear and Parker squareoff. Parker misses a right while moving in on Brashear and they get a hold of each other's jerseys. Brashear throws five lefts and lands three as Parker takes some time to get set but then misses two rights. Then Brashear gets in tight and Parker misses a left. Brashear throws three lefts and lands two as Parker ducks away and then takes off his helmet. Parker puts his head up and Brashear misses two lefts before Parker misses a right. Then Parker lands a right as Brashear misses a left but then Brashear lands a left as Parker misses a right. Brashear misses two lefts as his helmet is removed by Parker who then throws three rights and lands one as Brashear throws five lefts and lands three. Brashear then gets ack in close quarters to Parker who throws two rights, landing one to the body. They wrestle and Brashear lands two lefts before Parker misses a left. Then Brashear lands a left and Parker lands a left after but Brashear then throws five lefts and lands four before falling down. Parker misses a right as he's pulled to the ice and the linesmen get in and break it up. Good fight. Victory goes to Brashear.

The build up to this fight is amazing as they try to go at it right off of the openeing faceoff. The linesman break it up and they go to the box. Once they get out of the box they try again but the officials step in and send them to their benches. Next faceoff they finally go and Brashear opens with a lot of good lefts. Not a lot of damage to Parker as he tries to get going. A little bit of wrestling and some more noogies and they're finished. Clear win for Brashear for punches landed, but not decisive as Parker was never hurt or in trouble.

This was there best fight together, they try to go a bunch of times but it keeps getting broken up, they finally go. They drop em off the faceoff with Brashear throwing about 6 or 7 lefts landing a few Parker throws some too with not many landing. Then Brashear puts his arm over Parker's head and Parker's helmet comes off, Brash starts throwing again and Parker pulls off Brashear's helmet and then starts throwing with his right. They go toe 2 toe for a few seconds throwing wild punches with Brashear landing more and Parker gets 1 on the face and then a few body shots. They then both tie each other up throwing punches to the side of each other's head, with Brashear getting more. Then Parker wrestles Brashear down. Win for Brashear. One of my favorite fights because it was very wild.

Parker seems to have trouble with Brashear using his left as in the early exchange Parker looked off balance and was only able to catch Brashear with a couple solid rights after taking a bunch of lefts. Brashear then got in tight on Parker and continued landing lefts. Parker tried a few short lefts but didn't land with them. Parker then pulled out to throw a big right but Brashear slipped and Parker threw a punch down at Brashear that hit his body as the linesmen came in.

Parker struck back quite a few times, which makes this not a beating by brashear, and thus, not a clear win by brashear.

Ed Jovanovski clear win Fun
6
Adam Deadmarsh wants a rematch with Ed Jovanovski to try and get some revenge after being KO'd by Jovanovski some weeks ago. The KO gave Deadmarsh a concussion and put him out of the lineup for a few weeks. Jovanovski accepts Deadmarsh's offer and they drop the gloves and get a hold of each other's jerseys. They grapple momentarily and then Deadmarsh opens up. Deadmarsh lands a solid left to the side of the head as Jovanovski misses a right and then Jovanovski misses a right as Deadmarsh ducks. Deadmarsh is little off balance but manages to land another left to the side of the head while Jovanovski misses a right. Then Jovanovski throws two big rights and lands one that jars Deadmarsh as he ducks. Jovanovski then misses a right while Deadmarsh misses a left and remains off balance. Jovanovski misses a right as he loses his helmet but then throws two more big rights and lands one with Deadmarsh still ducking. Jovanovski pulls Deadmarsh down to the ice and then lands a right to the side of the head. Deadmarsh gets up and misses a left as the linesmen come in and break them up. Deadmarsh had a good start to the fight but Jovanovski soon took over and whaled away on Deadmarsh. Despite that, Jovanovski didn't land many more punches than Deadmarsh did though Jovanovski's landed more effectively. Pretty good rematch between these two rugged, tough, but skilled, players.

Again, these guys throw haymakers, and Jovanovski (who doesn't have much technique or defense and will one of these days get seriously hurt if he drops them with a real puncher) even slips to the ground from swining too wildly. Still, I think he connects on at least one of his haymakers and Deadmarsh doesn't land anything huge. I am a bit surprised by the results of Deadmarsh's fights with Jovanovski. When Deadmarsh was coming up, he seemed to be a technically solid fighter who--while not exactly Clark Gillies--held his own v. decent fighters. I would never have thought he'd get his clock cleaned by someone like Jovanovski. But then, all it takes is one punch--however wild.

Deadmarsh shows a lot of grit by fighting Jovanovski again, especially since he was knocked out the last time. Jovanovski is throwing wild rights (the same type of punches that knocked Deadmarsh out before). Deadmarsh is throwing lefts but didn't really have an advantage in landing anything. Edge Jovanovski.

Deadmarshis is out seeking vengence for last time an gets Jovo for a rematch.
Jovo quickly gets his head down an nails Deadmarsh with some uppercuts Deadmarsh is flying back trying to doadge them.
Deadmarsh trys to tie Jovo up but Jovo throws him away an gets his head down again an starts pounding him some more.
Jovo takes him down an lands one more then Deadmarsh gets up an the linesmen come in.

De Vries and Pederson bump just inside the blueline and decide to go. Pederson starts out allright but then De Vries takes over and starts to pound him with 2 or 3 really hard punches. Win De Vries

Pretty even until De Vries landed a stinging right. Pederson dropped his head a little and ate two left uppercuts. Pederson threw a few weak lefts with his head down, De Vries misses a right, and they hug to end it.
