| This one is such a non-eventer. Gavey threw a bodycheck at Sakic earlier of the game so Hinote wants him for that hit. He throws the only punch of the fight, which was a weak shot on the side of the head and Gavey wrestles him down. Hinote was a little bit disappointed after the scrap. |

| Two big heavyweights squareoff in Matt Johnson and Scott Parker. They move in and get a hold with the left. Johnson immediately throws a right that just lands to the back of Parker's helmet as Parker ducks and misses a right to the body. Parker lands a right to the body but then misses a right while Johnson lands a right to the side of the head. Parker goes straight down and Johnson misses a right as he tumbles over top of Parker. The linesmen hurry in on them and break up the fight. Good tilt between these two big enforcers. Johnson floored Parker with a right for the TKO win. |

The Colorado just scored a goal so Johnson wants to do something. Right after the face-off these two dropped their gloves.
At the center rink, Parker does his usual square-off stance. He is circling around his opponent and finally they grab on. Johnson looks like has a better grip and he throws the first punch of the fight, which missed the mark. Parker immediately responds with a body punch. But Johnson had time to unload and he lands a solid right to the side of the head and Parker goes down. Johnson adds one more blow, but fortunately for Parker the punch didnt connect. Parker wants to continue, but the refs wont allow to him.
The first sign of the problems with Parker. In one night he brutally TKOs an opponent, but on the other night he gets embarassed by another one. Not that Johnson is a bad scrapper, but the way he lost the fight is veryyyy disappointing.
Add to that one that his team was leading 2-0 and the game was played in Colorado. |
