Action 9This game is a great one from Boston garden. There is great end to end action with some heavy hitting. Don Marcotte throws thunderous check on big Bob Dailey who hurts his knee. The second peroid is like the first end to end action with 5 goals coming in the second peroid. Both teams are tie at 3-3 after 40 mintues, goalies Bernie Parent and Gerry Cheveers make big saves keeping this one tied.
In the thrid peroid Don Marcotte scores the winner with 13 mintues left in the game, as the Bruins wear down the Flyers. Peter McNab scores goal and 4 assist in the win. This was last game Fred Shero coach in Philadelphia the next season he takes on the coaching job in Newyork with Rangers.Gerry Cheveers leaves the ice without shaking hands with the Flyers.
