Travis Moen takes a couple of extra pokes at a puck Tim Thomas had covered. Adam McQuaid takes exception and roughly grabs Moen out of the pile. Moen turns and pushes back and they drop the gloves. Moen gets going first, landing a short right followed by another right. They move into the faceoff circle and Moen lands another decent right. McQuaid counters with a right but gets only air. Moen lands a good right and McQuaid again lacks range. Moen tries to come over the top but his effort gets tied up nicely. They trade rights with Moen weakly landing and McQuaid whiffing yet again. McQuaid pops a couple of jersey jabs with the left and barely lands a right. Moen lands a weak right that was partially deflected by jersey and McQuaid misses a right. Moen lands another right, this time to the helmet. McQuaid comes back with another jersey jab and barely glances a right. McQuaid throws 3 more thrusting jabs and Moen swings and misses. McQuaid lands a decent right followed by just missing a short uppercut. Moen offers a right but McQuaid blocks it and lands a weak counter with the right. Moen's next effort is also blocked but McQuaid misses the counter this time. McQuaid jersey jabs again and Moen lands a decent shot to the body. McQuaid hits shoulder pad as Moen adjusts his helmet. McQuaid misses a jersey jab and then they trade rights to the shoulder pads. Moen again hits pad as they spin around. Three more jersey jabs by McQuaid and he weakly lands a right, as Moen leaned out of the path. Moen lands a semi-decent right to the back of the head and McQuaid misses a tired right. The linesmen move in between and the 2 combatants exchange a few words before skating off to the box.

Not a bad fight but certainly not very exciting. McQuaid landing mostly jersey jabs while Moen landed the only real decent shots of the bout. I have no problem calling this a draw.

Adam McQuaid tries to clear Travis Moen from the crease but Moen battles back against McQuaid and that's all there is before they drop their gloves and go. They grab hold and Moen lands a right with McQuaid missing a right afterwards. Moen misses a right, pauses for a lengthy period, and then misses another right. McQuaid misses a right but goes in range for Moen who then connects on a right. McQuaid then misses a right again and Moen misses two rights before McQuaid misses a right. Then McQuaid jersey jabs Moen and misses a right. Moen lands a right, McQuaid misses another right, and Moen misses a right after. McQuaid jersey jabs and misses a right and continues jersey jabbing before Moen misses a right. Then McQuaid throws two rights and connects with one with Moen then missing a right. McQuaid misses a right, Moen misses a right again, McQuaid misses a right, then jersey jabs. Moen lands a right to the body and McQuaid misses two rights while jersey jabbing. Moen misses a right with McQuaid missing a right after, then Moen misses another right. McQuaid jersey jabs again and misses a right, then McQuaid misses a right after Moen misses a right and they let the linesmen come in. Both guys had bad accuracy in this fight. Not much landed at all even though both were active. Draw.

McQuaid and Moen had a decent tilt. The went at it in front of the Bruins net. Adam missed two punches. Moen landed a decent blow and missed a punch. He landed a partial connect and missed a shot. Adam missed two punches and landed a decent left. He missed a blow, landed a partial connect, and missed a right.

Travis missed two punches and landed a decent blow. He missed a shot. McQuaid landed a partial connect and missed a few shots. He landed a light blow and missed a punch. Moen landed a partial connect and missed a punch. He landed a body blow and missed a punch. Adam landed a decent punch and missed several shots. He landed two light punches and missed several blows. Travis missed two punches and the refs stopped the contest.

I rate this as a draw. Both men landed with about the same impact. Neither landed with great force. I couldn't see a discernible edge.

Moen started this fight well by connecting with several good punches, but McQuaid did well during the last part of the fight, connecting with a few good jersey jabs followed by a haymaker. Moen early, McQuaid late. draw

Scrum in front of the net, McQuaid and Moen decide to go. Moen hits him with a few average punches off the start then they stand at arms length throwing but none really connecting. McQuaid lands some good jersey jabs then a couple shots of his own. Good draw in an average fight.

Not a bad fight. Moen started really strong and McQuaid throw some good jersey jabs at the end. Pretty even, i'll call it a draw.

Moen had 5 connected punches while mcquaid had 3 or 4 connected punches and also threw 13 jersey-jabs. Mcquaid gained momentum during the 2nd half of the fight while Moen was less effective for the 2nd half of the fight. Narrow win for mcquaid.

Average fight. Moen landed more early and was winning the fight, but McQuaid came back in the second half. Overall it was pretty much a draw.

Moen has the advantage early being in more control and throwing and landing more, but soon after McQuaid gets going and lands a few more and better hits.

Okay fight. Moen got the better at the beginning and McQuaid came back well. He destabilized Moen with his jabs. I would call this fight a draw.

Moen starts off with a couple of solid punches, but McQuaid gets composed and starts firing jersey jabs to set up some straight rights. It was a close one, but McQuaid's jersey jabs were the difference and he landed more overall shots, so I'll give him a narrow win.

In the 3000th home game in their history the Habs host the hated division rival Bruins in an all important battle in the war for control of the Northeast on Hockey Night in Canada. With under 3 minutes to play it appears as if the Bruins are going to sail up another 2 points on the Canadiens, but the American trio have something to say about that. Gomez gets them on the board at the 2:22 mark, Gionta ties it with 47 seconds and then Pacioretty seals it in the extra frame, pushing aside the Bruins captain Chara as he celebrates at the boards. But you don't poke an angry bear.

Chara breaks up the short lived celebration. PK Subban tries to fend him off, but big Hal Gill, Chara's Montreal equivalent, jumps infront of his teammates and grabs ahold of him along with two zebra's. He yaps for a bit and then throws a jab with the glove, which appears to hit one of the officials. As he's guided away, Gomez awaits him with, what we can only assume are some colorful words, and the big hungry bear strikes again trying to backhand the Anchorage native and then throwing a punch. Gomez barks at him in displeasure before rookie Steven Kampfer headlocks him. The official continues to guide Chara away from mischief, but it's like running through a mine field, as Hal Gill comes back for another piece of him, grabbing him by his back and trying to wrestle him to the ice. He eventually unclings at the hands of the officials, and Chara is finally escorted off the ice, nearly getting hit with a few items, courtesy of the ecstatic Montreal faithful.

When it all boils down, some people may call this a display of poor sportsmanship by Chara. But I don't think it was. Hockey's an emotional game. Pacioretty's light shove, probabley wouldn't have ignited the reaction it did had it come earlier in the game, but after seeing a chance to gain some traction in the division slip away like that, against the very team that's chasing them, a frustrated Chara just could not contain his frustration any longer. Entertaining conclusion to a great game. At least...for the guys in red, blue and white.

Not sure who else was on the ice for the bruins, Need to see replay, but after the goal Pacioretty gives chara a little shove as he heads to the boards in celebration with his teammates. Chara comes back and starts roughing it up with, Patches, and then gomex and gill. full review forthcoming, once the highlights are up.Reply

Chara is such a douche... There are times I wish this clown would just turn into Lidstrom and not act tough at all, he put a half ass effort into every scrum he is in this year.Reply
