Chris Neil narrow win Fun

Prust is looking to spark the Rangers who trail the game 1-0, so he challenges Neil who is more than happy to oblige. The 2 men square off and glide in to lock up. Neil looks to get the better grip early, and as he is trying to rip off Brandon's helmet, Prust throws a short right. Neil counters with a nice uppercut that sends Prust's helmet flying off. Neil follows up with 3 overhand rights that were pretty wild, one of which may have caught Prust in the back of the head, (hard to tell from the bad camera angle).

Prust comes back with a body shot, as Neil fires 3 straight rights that find their mark. Then Chris Neil slams Prust into the glass. The 2 men jockey for position and are catching their breath, while Prust is still trying to get Neil's helmet off, and finally after 2 short jabs, he's able to get a grip and drag it off his head.

The crowd now begins to chant Neil's name, and Chris can't help but play to the crowd and give them the let's go wave. Each man throws 2 wild rights, landing 1 apiece. Neil tries a weak left and Prust counters with a good right. Neil then retaliates with a solid right of his own, as Prust lands a short jab that turns out to be the last punch of the tilt.

Chris Neil landed the better punches, although Prust hung tough. Neil with the "W."

Brandon Prust wanted a piece of Chris Neil earlier after a big hit by Neil in the last game injured Brian Boyle and put him out of the lineup for this game. Neil ignores Prust at first but later on meets with him and they drop the gloves. Prust and Neil squareoff and then come together in close. Neil grabs Prust's helmet but then after Prust misses a right, Neil lands a right that sends the helmet of Prust flying off his head. They get some space from each other and Neil misses two follow up rights before pushing Prust to the boards. Neil misses a right, then lands three lefts before missing another right. Prust gets off the boards and then misses a right. Neil misses a right and Prust misses two rights afterwards. Neil then throws three rights and lands two and pushes Prust to the boards again. They get back in close and wrestle. Neil lands a left and then Prust fails with an attempt to get Neil's helmet off and throws two rights, landing one. Prust's second try gets the helmet off Neil and they move away from the boards. Neil gets his elbow pad off and then the wrestling stops as they gain some space from each other again. They spin around and Prust misses two rights before Neil throws two rights and lands one. Prust then lands a right as Neil lands a right and then Neil misses a left before Prust misses a right. The spinning continues and Neil lands a right. Prust lands a right while moving back in close on Neil and they wrestle a little bit. The referees step in and end the fight there. Okay scrap between these two tough guys. Neil got the best of this one, he landed more and better punches for the clear win over Prust.

Awesome fight as Prust and neil was squaring off near center ice. Chris neil landed most of the punches and Prust landed some good punches before the refs came in there. Before the fight, they talked about going earlier but neil wasn't ready yet. Under 5 minutes left, they decided to go

These guys where chirping each other from their very first face off of the game. Prust wanted to go at it earlier but Neil picked his own time. They dropped their gloves and both tried to get each others buckets off. Neil was successful in getting Prust's helmet off first and immediately started to unload on Prust with lefts and rights. Prust finally got Neil's helmet off and started to throw some of his own. Neil got the much better shots in by far and Prust got some of his own in. I'm giving Neil the CLEAR WIN here.

Very long tilt, although pretty much all of the real action was at the beginning. Would have been a clear win for Neil if the scrap wouldnt have gone on for so long for Prust to hang in.

Neal controlled much of the fight. I think if Prust hadn't hugged so much and got going sooner it would go narrow or draw.

They set up to square off. Neil starts things off with a big uppercut ... in total, I counted 5 facial-punches for Neil and 2 facial-punches for Prust. There were a couple of swings by Prust that looked like punches but I think they actually just missed because of the reach. Anyway, this is a clear win for Neil who looked confident throughout the match that he was going to win.

Chris Neil is able to use his strength to control Prust throughout the fight, landing a few solid shots. Prust landed a couple but they didnt seem to have any affect on the much stronger Neil. Prust is a great tecnical fighter but has difficulty with guys like Neil and Lucic who are built like football platers.

Neil landed a good one early and all in all landed more than Prust. Prust hung in there after a tough start and was able to come back a bit, but Neil still gets the win here.

Nice long fight between these two. Give the edge to Neil, who landed more quality punches than Prust.

It was not suprising that someone on the NYR would try to get after Neil, whose borderline head shot knocked Boyle out indefinitely. I guess the Rangers felt they had to take matters into their own hands to make Neil pay for that hit since the League took no action.

Prust is looking for a fight earlier on in the 1st period with chris Neil at the face off, Neil turns him down saying "not right now".

Later on in the period Neil checks one of the Ottawa players and goes back to prust and this time asks him to go, prust accepts then they square off. Neil immediately grabs prusts helmet and tears it off and gets off a punishing shot rocking prust, they both get a few shots off each then prust tears off Neil's helmet then they slow down.Neil then just gets another load of shots to prusts head, prust just can't carry on no more so the linos jump in and split it up.

Calling this a clear win for Neil simply because he controlled the fight got a number of punishing punches and prust didn't really respond with anything and couldn't carry on.

Wrong Rangers should've destroyed the Sens the very second that opening puck was dropped of this series. Even if they do win they should still hang there heads that an eith place seed is giving them this much of a hassle. Oh and you're a Leafs fan whose team completely shat the bed in early February tough luck dude.Reply

lol are you 12 years old? Your team has had an epic collapse for years and aint getting any better. How many people come to watch the game, a thousand? How can you talk shit? Either than Tavares your team has literally nothing. Have fun being in bottom of the east for the next 5 years. Your a loser who likes a loser team with no fans... great. lol.Reply

Apr 28, 2012 13:28 ET
im not, im saying you have no place in talking shit, loser. Your team is joke, who no one cares about and has no fanbase. The leafs were around 8th spot for most of the year while the isles were as they always are around last place. hmmm so who did better? Dumbass. Your statement is has no valid point. I really dont care what you say though cause we both know where the islanders are gonna be next year as always. While the leafs will have a good shot at making it your team doesnt have a chance in hell in seeing the playoffs for the next 5 years at least. You must be one miserable and obviously lonely fan since no cares about them, would rather go to NYC and watch the Rangers where they actually care about hockey but i guess you like a loser team.Reply

Apr 28, 2012 15:21 ET
FYI Islanders finished in 14th while the Leafs finished in 13th wanna split more hairs.

Your material is running short my friend that you have to bring up the fanbase thing twice. Let me tell you this when you have an owner who is completely out of his element........holding his teams money for ransom by not bringing in big-name players out of spite, then you can come to grips on how a fanbase can dwindle in numbers. Frankly who can blame them; Islanders don't deserve any fans.

But as for the Rangers; I will NEVER root for that piece of shit organization. That organization is a complete fraud that it's pathetic, bunch of know nothing fans have bought into as this "Original 6 gem" that's rich in history and tradition. What a crock of shit disgrace they are. (Leaf fans like you are no different)

However going back to the owner situation the Leafs have everything a respectable chairman owned by a professional sports company an actual GM and not a minor league coach (which the Isles seem to only hire) AND STILL haven't made the playoffs in a million years. This season was absolute gold that even I had to poke fun at it.

So with that I'd say you're just as miserable, but hey you still have your Blue Jays.

nope dont lke baseball. So all that said, how can you even be a proud fan of the isles and still have balls to talk shit? You are calling the rangers shit organization and a bunch of know nothing fans? lol, well at least they have some. The rangers finished first in the east, is that shit? no i think you are. Your team is on a downward spiral and has been for a long time, the team doesnt care and neither does Long Island and its puzzling as to why you do. Say whatever but the Isles are an all-round piss poor organization. Just take a look at your roster.... LMAO fucking joke.Reply

yeah a lot better, your reply says it all. People actually care about the leafs and they actually have a legit chance making the playoffs next year. You have a one line team, Moulson-Tavares-Okposo. Good luck with that. Im not gonna argue anymore over the same thing. Have your delusional islander pride and continue to talk shit about teams better than yoursReply

If you say your team blows how can you be behind them? If you likes real hockey you would like the rangers who are a real team despite your expert opinion on them. Just those comments alone prove how much of an idiot that you are. And what makes the leafs better is the fact that they were doing better than your team the entire year and have been for awhile and they are not a pathetic one-line team with an empty arena.Reply

Ummm cuz I'm not a fuckin bandwagoner!!!!!!!!!

You think I'm twelve years old, I'd say you're around the age of seven with that asinine comment. You're too stupid to argue with Mr. Belak, I don't switch teams just because there awesome. I think i just proved everything right with your comments and lack of proper grammar. Hm and the lslanders have only won 4 cups also. You like to talk bad about the rangers although they have been miles better for years then the isles (but which team hasnt?). 13th place this year and the rangers finished first, have some shit to talk about that? Wow your pathetic man just like the franchise you love. One line team with an injury-prone goaltender who you are stuck with for nine more years, great contract and signing. Your team is going nowhere and wont be for awhile, It amazes me how you say all this about other teams while the Islanders are the all-round the worst organization in the league. But the one great thing about being an Isles fan is you can always count on being able to get a ticket even at game time.Reply

I guess math isn't your strong point too..... hmm lets see 4 cups in a 100 years vs 4 cups in 4 straight years; which is more impressive??? Not to mention the high-caliber players that the Rangers have acquired over the last half-century, but yet have possessed only one measly cup to show for it.

Now fuck off Belak once again you have proven that you are completely out of your element, and just as delusional as Chuck Wang.

wow how long did it take to make that up? YOU'RE the one who needs to learn, you cant make a worthy point and your defense for your team is a joke. I love how you compare the Rangers to that shitty team in long island. Keep going on about your 4 cups in 4 years although you didnt win one after and probably wont again cause you have the worst managing in the league. Where were you this year? 13th, Where were the Rangers?? 1st place and now in the 2nd round. You are just frustrated because of your own team and bitter that your rival is doing 10x better. Now i will fuck off if you do the same.Reply
